F Personal I like the fact that he’s has or is making bike racing more mainstream.

I must agree with the idea that some cyclists don't appreciate an influx of newcomers. Probably a distinct minority, but I certainly have gotten that vibe from some folks I have ridden with; generally, they are of a more hardcore competitive vein. But then again, any sport you care to think of, tennis, skiing, running, tri, whatever, are probably going to have their more competitive amateurs look askance at neophytes and dilettantes.

I am quite sure that culture existed long before he became a cultural phenomenon. As our buts grow bigger with our sedentary lifestyles, many people look for low impact aerobic activity to ward off obesity. Some will choose cycling. Not much to do with Lance. He has some impact, but not a lot.

Opinions are part of forum life, folks will disagree all the time. I think the point I was trying to raise and which you seem to gloss over is that instead of accepting these folks stated reasons for not liking Lance, he tells them they are wrong and proffers his own reason why they don't like him. Think about that . . . I tell you I don't like peanut butter because of the taste and you tell me no it's because I hate America. That's not voicing an opinion, that's being completely freaking ridiculous.

No, you and all the Lance haters just get ****'d when someone dosn't get in the Lance hating line....

The first thing you (or others) do is say their freaking ridiculous.....

WOOOOOSH! That's the sound of my last comment going completely over your head.

Do us both a favor and just move on. You don't understand and I don't have the desire to explain it to you again.

How is that top step view. I wish I could think so highly of myself. Humble much?

Didn't think so.

So you just have a reading comprehension problem.... My bad. I'll take that into consideration on a go forward basis.

I'll let you get back to spreading your Lance love to the rest of the forum.

Taking satisfaction in anybodies misfortune or loss is pathetic and immature at best. Celebrate excellence and encourage those trying to achieve.

And it wasn't a "misfortune." He just wasn't strong enough to win. That makes me happy. I guess you are one of those people who lie to kids and say "Winning isn't important." If you choose not to play, then winning isn't important; but if you take part in competition and winning isn't important, then you are doing it wrong.

If most on here cant read my statement and attribute it to themselves then they are past help or the ability to be humble. That message was written in response to somebody of course calling another out. But, of course it is universal.

Okay, you failed the irony test, you are definitely a Lance fan. Dang, its almost as if there really is a handbook.

A fan of Lance Armstrong talking about humility. I actually may have seen it all now.

So what you are saying is LA isn't the only one using PED's.....

No, he is just saying that Lance is, no mutual exclusivity involved.

Schadenfreude is a very natural sentiment. Whether it is unhealthy in large doses is probably true.

with Lance, there is a certain element of cosmic justice involved in my view. he behaved with no class and actually went out of his way to humiliate AC and really disgrace and embarrass himself, and alienated this former fan in the extreme. so given my perception, how could it be so unexpected to see him sulking like a child there on the lowest step of the podium and not taking some small pleasure in it. I really felt like he had disrespected me personally as one of his fans.

I make no apology. But what really made me feel good was seeing AC on the top step. That was truly wonderful.

Reading comprehension. Work on it. I stated misfortune or loss. That would be two different things. I was speaking in general btw, not about Lance and the TDF. I know it is the only thing most on here can focus on, but there is a really really big world out there that exists without Lance, AC, JB, Saxo, CSC, Astana, Vino, etc.

For your information I don't lie to anybody of any age. Winning is important, but not as important as the effort to get there. The effort and striving is what makes people grow. Setting and working towards goals. When you get to a goal set a higher one.

Now, taking pride or happiness is anybody not doing well in "anything" is just sad and pathetic. But, hey we all choose to live how we live. Sorry yours is at that point.

Writing succinctly and effectively, get some. Using extraneous words in an effort to make a point is clearly ineffective in conveying the intent of your statement.

To suggest that you were speaking in general terms when responding to a specific subject is again a poor example of delineating your position. I would also say that in this instance, you are being disingenuous considering the topic of the thread.

The final paragraph is fraught with expressional errors so I am unable to respond.

Lastly, your sense of irony is incredibly undeveloped, and I suggest that if you wish to be taken seriously, you work on that a bit. I just cannot be bothered to try to debate with someone so unskilled in rhetoric.

My guess is that it is going to take Jr quite awhile to unpack and decipher what you've written here. Well done, sir!:)

Could be viewed as ridiculous as well to think you are the forum police on any issue that you disagree with. Force feeding doesn't make them eat.

Btw, i didn't know peanut butter was defined as American. I guess I learn something everyday after all.

Wow, so your point is, you really are that stupid.

Maybe, he is trying to level the playing field. The constant Lance hate is off the charts on here. People telling anybody that supports The Shack, Lance, JB or the likes they are wrong and stupid. "Fanboys" Etc. Laughable really.

Maybe he is just voicing his opinion as well. I find it funny that he gets called out for the samething everybody else does on here. It's just that his view(opinion) is different from yours. So it's wrong. Go figure.

You know opinions are like A55holes. We all have one. Yours is no more correct than his or mine or anybody elses. Just something to think about.

Good post. As usual the attacks roll in. As usual it's the same comparatively small bunch who attack. Apparently the more you shout 'you're stupid because you don't agree with me' the more true it becomes. Love that logic

On a side note i am sorry you are having a hard time understanding my remedial post. It was pretty direct and to the point. Sorry it missed you.

Schadenfreude IT IS YOU!!!!

I realize you are not of a sufficient level of intellect to understand what I wrote, so I will rewrite it in simpler terms that you will understand.

You are dishonest and are a terrible writer. Go back to school and get some edumikation and I will then be glad to inform you of further foibles...sorry, deficiencies...shoot, I am having a hard time remembering first grade vocabulary...screw ups, that's the word!
