Seems to me that's more likely in response to:
"Astana under investigation in France", rather than the Astana contract debacle...

which by the way is a somewhat slanted headline, as pointed out in another thread... http://forum.cyclingnews.com/showthread.php?t=4027&page=6

Regardless of that to wit he refer, he truly acts like a 12 year old girl. I am sure we will soon see a twit along the lines of "ME ND MI BFF @levileipheimer R GOING 2 RHTS N THA TdF WTH MI <3 @johanbruyneel CUZ WE GOT DA 411 ND CAN TAKE @albertocontador A3, C4N!"

Yea, such a "tall tree"...more like the tallest pile of...

I think any “true champion” will never be happy with second place. That’s what makes them champions! The guy’s that are happy with second place do not have what it takes to win seven tours….

Face it all you Lance haters….he is bigger than the sport of bike racing and that’s what you really don’t like……

He got 3rd...

If that's the case isn't rather convenient that the season that Armstrong has absolutely no serious wins to his credit that it can be attributed to winning not being an interest of his any longer.

Not winning is one thing- Not Capable of winning is another and LA just simply cannot win a Grand tour anymore - he might have a chance to try the Classics or one week races- but what I said is that he and Bruyneel are exploiting every single opportunity they get to use LA's fame/image and profit ridiculously from it--- totally separated from cycling at all

I'd say his chances of winning a GT are far greater than him winning any of the classics.

First all professional do it for the “MONEY” and whats wrong with that? Nothing……
Lance is bigger than the sport of bike racing……he is the most recognized person in the sport worldwide, much like Michael Jordan or Wayne Gretzky….Face it, that’s what you really don’t like. Personal I like the fact that he’s has or is making bike racing more mainstream.
Will he win again? Yes, like any racing there is one constant. He with the most money will win…..more often then not.

Unfortunately I suspect some around here get a lot of their angst from that.

Good posts.

I think this is pretty funny. Folks spell out why they don't like Lance and you tell them that they are wrong. Apparently they don't know their own minds!

I have never done this before, but you're going on my ignore list, if you think LA is bigger than cycling then I don't need to see your posts ever:mad:

The only way Armstrongs money will help him win the tour is if he pays enough to get Contador, Schleck, Nibali, Evans, etc all busted for doping. Or was that what you meant?

Were this rubbish true, any committed fan of pro racing should not be happy. You are obviously excused, as when LA finally rides off into the sunset, I'd say you'll be riding off with him.
When you do, remember to keep the sun on your back.

Maybe, he is trying to level the playing field. The constant Lance hate is off the charts on here. People telling anybody that supports The Shack, Lance, JB or the likes they are wrong and stupid. "Fanboys" Etc. Laughable really.

Maybe he is just voicing his opinion as well. I find it funny that he gets called out for the samething everybody else does on here. It's just that his view(opinion) is different from yours. So it's wrong. Go figure.

You know opinions are like A55holes. We all have one. Yours is no more correct than his or mine or anybody elses. Just something to think about.

Statistically, your chances of winning the lottery aren't much less if you don't even buy a ticket.

Opinions are part of forum life, folks will disagree all the time. I think the point I was trying to raise and which you seem to gloss over is that instead of accepting these folks stated reasons for not liking Lance, he tells them they are wrong and proffers his own reason why they don't like him. Think about that . . . I tell you I don't like peanut butter because of the taste and you tell me no it's because I hate America. That's not voicing an opinion, that's being completely freaking ridiculous.

Could be viewed as ridiculous as well to think you are the forum police on any issue that you disagree with. Force feeding doesn't make them eat.

Btw, i didn't know peanut butter was defined as American. I guess I learn something everyday after all.

Taking satisfaction in anybodies misfortune or loss is pathetic and immature at best. Celebrate excellence and encourage those trying to achieve.

Um, correct me if I am wrong, but couldn't you have written this sentiment to him?

Also, note that there is plenty of discourse that merely informs those fans of Lance of the actual events and facts surrounding the subject of Lance's doping. If your inferrance is that anyone who sees those things and discounts them is "stupid" or "wrong," well, that's your deal.

WOOOOOSH! That's the sound of my last comment going completely over your head.

Do us both a favor and just move on. You don't understand and I don't have the desire to explain it to you again.

If most on here cant read my statement and attribute it to themselves then they are past help or the ability to be humble. That message was written in response to somebody of course calling another out. But, of course it is universal.
