This race is a good place to test the theory that the initial ITT creates a better race. Many riders need to attack. We'll see.
That one still annoys me.That's his own fault for not sprinting a tiny bit faster on Alpe di Siusi.
I can't see Porte being worried by Thomas on form based upon anything I have seen in the last few months. But you are right more likely decided by a mishap.Thomas will want to challenge Porte's claim to team leadership. I guess that will only be settled after one of them suffers a mishap
Yeah he can focus on GCs for the rest of his life now.At least Foliforov has a stage win.
They have updated the results now. Carthy was 25th, 1:08 behind Dennis. Adam Yates won both the brotherly duel and the battle of the Brits, and Harper was the fastest Chris.
They'll have a lot of testing this season. Paris-Nice already had an ITT early in the race. Similar is expected with Itzulia (which starts with an ITT), Dauphine and the Tour. This race is a good place to test the theory that the initial ITT creates a better race. Many riders need to attack. We'll see.
Same with CavendishAlmeida sure does wear a lot of leader's jerseys for a guy who has never won a race.
Same with Cavendish
To be honest, I think all true cycling fan felt badly that fall. That Giro should have been his.Yeah at this point I wish he'd just stagehunt. Him not having any stage wins in GT is a sad one to me.
I had to go back and double check.Cavendish has won a race or two.

I doubt that, top 10 may be possible, but top 5 will be hard against this field.Really curious if McNulty has what it takes to hang on in the mountains enough and compete for a high GC placing. Top 15, sure, but is there yet for a top 5?

Galvan is only one minute behind the leader in GC. Steppers already working to lower the gap.Break of 9 riders have 12 minutes over the peloton. It seems peloton will not catch today's break.

Those are compression socks. They help with recovery.
I think those are his earbuds for the race.Ah yes makes sense, would be cool if he actually raced in those socks, just for laughs.
