Phil doesn't like these patterns. Ask Amstel Gold Race. I even remember Dekker losing a bet right there :p

I am watching you pistolero..

in every single thread you post some fanboyism related to gilbert, some nonsense related to every race where gilbert isn't good enough to win it, some "insults" to cancellara here and there and you even dared to open a thread at the clinic related to him. that's funny, because every time someone states the suspicions and articles related to gilbert (evans and others) you quickly say that you don't discuss those subjects, since they don't matter to you and you don't go to the clinic.

your fanboyism and delusional opinions will become even more delusional and unjustified. Do you know why? obviously you don't.. but i will tell you:

samu, mollema and scarponi are going to dominate this one and next year you will see boonen and fabian dominating everything until ardennes. at those races.. VALVERDE vs the rest. mark my words little man.

:D

And you call me delusional lol.

yes i am... i must be insane to think that someone who is better climber, better sprinter and better tter, with better palmares is going to defeat gilbert, like he already did (several times).

I guess Armstrong is better as well now than Contador. He totally beat him in 2005.

Sense, you don't make it.

Ps: I wouldn't be so sure anymore of Valverde having a better palmares for much longer :D

contador was beaten just in 2005. he was very young, his first tour. he was a nobody. gilbert? beaten since he was pro. totally different. again you just showed how delusional and "obtuse" you are.

better palmares you say? well.. it depends. why's that?because your delusional fanboyism makes you rate anything that gilbert wins as much better races.

Warning: this footage is shocking and may make you cry

The mistake you make is thinking Gilbert hasn't improved since 2008. You fail to understand that thus you can't be argued with.

Valverde never dominated the way Gilbert did the past year and a half. In fact, he rarely dominated at all.

No, but he focused on several different disciplines and with tremendous success in almost all of them. Unlike Phil who only focuses on 1.

And even though he only won 1 overall, that period where he came 2nd in 2 major stage races and won the 3rd while podiuming Liege too, was pretty impressive for someone who had hoped to be on top form in July.

I think in Basque country he podiumed 5 out of the 6 stages, which included sprint stages, hilly, mountinous ones and a time trial.

Which is as dominant as one can get in a race without winning it.

@hrotha
yeah, i like valv. and he is a more versatile rider with his abilities but he never done what gilbert did this year. I have more hope in sagan progressing heaps in the next couple of years.

Well the season is over,
it's been a very good year,
it's been a very good year,
specially for Gilbert and Belgium.

What Gilbert showed us this year,
It was a very good thing,
It was a very good thing,
Good job for Nuyens and Van Summeren

They made some very good rides,
VDB and Venendert,
Van Avermaet got his win,
In front of everyone,

Now we reach the final race,
In this very good year,
Gilbert will win again,
Cause he is the number one man,
In springtime or fall,
Uphill or downhill,
Gilbert had the very best year.:)

Yet still wins more stage races than most stage racers

I want a challenger to beat Gilbert. And Gilbert has little form ( WC and P-T ) unless if he is peaking for this race. In that Italian race yesterday Mollema finished well down after that effort for sprinting for 2nd the day before.

I think Cancellara if he survives could be a threat. If Zaugg gets in a break i envisage him being able to stay away maybe. Scarponi has not raced much as of late so i am not sure how well he shall be.

5th... you call that "well down"? He could have gotten 2nd if he didn't have to brake in the sprint.

yeah I dont think Phil not winning the WC or not chasing down the break on his own yesterday is really an indication that he is out of form.

He will still be up there at the pointy end.

Nibali doesnt seem to be going all that well though, and Scarponi isnt doing Piemonte so not sure what the story is there ....

I think it might end up being between Gilbert, JRod, Fuglsang and Samu - still picking Phil FTW.

Yeah, terrible. Farrar's are at least equally horrible though. I flinched when I saw him up close for the first time...

To the first bolded bit, well, we're talking about challenging Gilbert in that particular discipline. Everybody knows Valverde is more versatile, a better climber, a faster sprinter and a better GT guy, but that's not what the discussion was about.

To the second bit, that's kind of what I was saying, isn't it?
