Oh sagan really gets nervous during the final 500mtrs in small groups. He didnt get surprised, but this time he went way too early.

Kwiatkowski is an incredible rider - great to see him recover from the rubbish last year. Great performance by Sagan as well.

I think he saw he had gained a metre or so gap to Kwiatkowski and thought he could get the jump on him, but Kwiat had the strength to close the gap and come round. Great finish.

Kwiatkowski!!!! Didn't expect that. What a rider!

Credit where credit is due though, Sagan the first to straight up without help from the weather to prevent a bunch sprint here since a couple of years. What an attack on the Poggio!

Sagan screwed himself completely there. Kwiat was fried on the Poggio and only got back due to Alaphillipe.
