Kinda miss Groenewegen here. LottoNL brought their complete C-team. Wth some young guns as leaders as Powless, De Tier and Kuss

This could be the first time Sagan doesn't win a stage (when he participates). Does he have a chance to win stage 3?
On paper, stage 3 looks more like a Yates vs. Bernal battle but Sagan tend to surprise.

1,1 km 11% ? :surprised: easy peasy

Probably Dylan Teuns can beat him but I doubt about Yates or Bernal

One more thing. Sagan will be fresh after "Sunday riding" tomorrow while for climbers tomorrow is the day D.

I agree that Sagan should be fresh on Tuesday. He managed to win in Laguna Seca in 2016 so he should be able to repeat it if he has any sort of form. If I remember correctly that stage featured same last two climbs as Stage 3 of this edition but I do not recall if the rest of the stage was similar or not.

Phil and Paul doing commentary, ads for some George Hincapie ride - those good old days are still rolling in California! Can't be long before official race ambassador Jens Voigt pops on for color commentary :)

He had to battle GVA and Alaphilippe for the stage win that year (and made it look easy, may I add), and it's not like the apparent competition is harder than that this year. So yeah, an in-form Sagan should definitely be the favourite for Laguna Seca

Powless feeling the Rabofail jersey and Morton already dropped in an US stage race, that's a surprise.

Shame that Bernal is stuck in this Sky train for the forseeable future. He can tear this up from much further than 2km to go
