Bernal has led every single race he started for Sky, so I doubt that.
And with Froome's form I think it's clear Thomas is gonna go all out in the Tour. It's his chance to usurp him and make himself number one at Sky, which of course wont happen as he will crash out

Only races he actually led were TDU and Cali. The rest were all circumstantial. Henao was the designated leader for Oro y Paz and Catalunya, Thomas was for Romandia.MuskyOurSaviour said:Jspear said:IndianCyclist said:

That said, he has been pretty bad this season and he probably should focus more on one week stage races.
Yes, but least year he still managed to win a stage at the Giro, did well in some shorter stages races and somehow finished 10th in the Vuelta, so he'll probably still get decent money even after a paycut.Zinoviev Letter said:

I actually think at least part of that is his head. Which is why I've thought for a couple years now that he needs a change of teams. A team that already has a solid leadership order like Movistar, Bahrain-Marida, or M-S could be a good fit. Say you go to a GT at Movistar with Landa and Valverde, then send Tejay as one of the Doms, he'd actually be just as much of a help to them on the flats as in the mountains and in the mountains if he has an off day Landa and Valverde would still be together anyway. At Bahrain you've got Nibali solidly as the top leader with the Izagirre brothers next. Same at M-S with Chaves and the Yates twins. Tejay should be a very big help in those type of teams where if he has a bad day in the mountains it wouldn't be as devastating as they have other climbers, esp Movistar and Bahrain. His big engine, esp when it comes to TTs would be as valuable if not more valuable to those teams.
Then again at Movistar send your 5 top GC guys: Valverde, Landa, Quintana, Soler, and Amador. Why not throw Tejay in there as well. I would almost think there he'd be treated more as a rouler than necessarily a mountain goat. However, he'd have to take a pay cut and understand he's basically got a very small chance to lead that team anywhere.
