Yeah we know. He's always suck Sagan's wheel. Even when he's in front of him, that means there's Sagan's shadow in front. Your litany is getting boring. Van Avermaet lost third place because he was cooked, as simple as that. Even yesterday he was not as strong as in spring. Besides if not for World Tour point, what is the difference between 3rd and 4th? Very tiny isn't it? Victory was out of reach anyway ...

Sagan as usual with his pointless attacks, but when it actually matters, he´s at the back of the group and has to make up a lot of ground. I´ll never understand that.

I did not get it either. Ok on the Muur he wanted to blow peloton but I really did not understand his attack at last climb before finish and his positioning before finish is even more mystery to me.

I did not get it either. Ok on the Muur he wanted to blow peloton but I really did not understand his attack at last climb before finish and his positioning before finish is even more mystery to me.

GVA make the first move on the last climb indeed, but looks odd that both of them looking each other after the climb and let Wellens group get back

nobody cares about world tour anyway, Sagan won it last year, but nobody talks about it as one of his achievements that year...

He is at the third spot so I dont know what are you talking about. At first image Sagan stopped pulling and looked back and 5s later they are all freewheeling and GVA losting his podium spot in the process.

It was stupid when he was run over by a moto in the Vuelta. This was just common bad luck. Part of the race.

the neutral service debacle was a symptom of poor organisation however, it could've been avoided - it wasn't like an accident where there are too many variables

For whatever reason, this race seems to have the most organizational snafus of any major race around.

Anytime there's another one the same interview pops into my head. One of the race directors in 2005 during the "first" edition saying they would never be the most important race in the world but they would definitely always be the best organized.

Later that same day the winning breakaway was sent down the wrong road.

Well apparently Sagan cares. He was overjoyed for winning World Tour and he stated it as one of his greatest achievements.

Both would be cool. Best thing you could do for the world tour. Only issue could be the hierarchy the jersey compared to rainbow jersey and jerseys from stage races

for world champions, i'd say a combination. The world cup was vertical stripes. Combine them with the horizontal WC stripes and you are done.

WT now being a rolling classification, the jersey should also be a rolling one - who is on top at a given time has it.

But the real problem is that WT points leader jersey would have to be above the WC one. WC is after all a one day race where there is a lot of luck in it. WT leader position is not possible to acquire just by luck. So it has more value by default.
