Pantani went over 7 w/kg several times. But now we know how he did it.

If Rujano can regain his form from few years back he will absolutely be a player.

And his time trialing is acceptable. Just look at the 2005 Giro results.

Given that Colombia and Venezuela are at high altitude, what affect would this have on his HCT levels, and probably born to be a climber.

venezuela is not at high altitude. only some parts are but like 60% is on or near sea level. where rujano is from is around 600 metres high, santa cruz de mora

it definetely has it's effect though because look at colombia and most riders are from boyaca which is 2800-3300 metres where they've lived for many generations so clearly their body's have evolutionized to be perfect for this sport.

I don't know about pantani but gesink went over it for 3 years in a row now at rabobanks check up in december. it's been posted on their website number of times. also other guys went over it like remmert wielinga
