Per piet rooijakkers twitter: My only competitive goal in Trentino disappeared when the official disapproved my saddle. Thnx Mec-Tom for the quick saddle-switch though!

Highlights here

Slightly tricky to follow as they don't show ANY of the riders' times until the whole thing's finished

Congrats to Vino-he's ready for a good fight. Apart from that, I find strange to see Ricco TTing better than Basso though....
Also from watching the highlights, looks like Gibo's TT bike is quite bigger for him...

Congratulations to Vino great win...But WTF happened to Pellizotti?Did he ride the wrong course?Did he have Multiple punctures? But to loose 1minute and 30 seconds over this distance is just plain F**ked....WTF???

I saw the highlights. They followed Pellizotti for a long time and didn't show or talk about anything happening to him

Thanks for the reply Issoisso. So what do u think happened?I know Pellizotti is more of a climber?but i also thought he was ok for Krono rides too? What does this mean for the Giro?>?

The same Arco course as last year, when Kloden won. Pellizotti just seemed to be slow. Bet he'll be fine in a fortnight.
First of the MTF's today, so at least we know that the air will be clean!:D

Still no sticky for this important Giro warm-up?

did anyone notice the contrast between the two climbing stars of the 2008 giro and the fellow 'returnee' sinners ?

ricco in 8th shining like a knob whilst sella in 114th scraping the back alley like a genitor .

disappointing coverage

rai sport schedule listed delayed coverage of s2 at midnigt. wtf

the only available live source is the race's site:
....
after km 35 a 13-man break leads the race with the peloton 4'35'' behind

i understood it as the average speed of 42 up to that point, slightly over two hours into the race.

but that reckoning, the escapees should about midway to the top of passo del brocon, then down for 15 kms and onto the final mtf of the day.
