If you don't love Prince, you have no soul.

IMO Prince ranks just behind Queen on the "Most overrated artists/bands of all-time" list... He ain't horrible, but he isn't fantastic either.

Not to stray slightly off-topic, but seriously, listen to Sign o' the Times, and take that back. Queen is horrible kitsch, Prince is a genius.

see what I mean?

Yep. Well to each his own but I can't see how someone with the history of strongly influencing rock, R&B and pop the way Prince did can be considered "overrated". Matter of opinion I guess.

I take the blame for this side trip but I agree, Sign Of The Times was genius as was 1999 not to mention the quality of many more of his releases. Sorry moderators.:)

Well, he's still there, but that's everything really. He couldn't follow the best on the first stage. And returned with the 2nd group later

Btw, I took a closer look at the profiles of the stages.
Not only thursday (queen stage), but friday promises to be good as well.
It includes the Alto de Aia in de final, a climb which was done 2 years ago with percentages up to 26%. Rodriguez and Contador rode away there, altough a small group returned in the downhill. (only 5/6 riders though!)

I posted a video link to that climb earlier: link
It's quite spectacular, very "Rodriguezzy". Part of the climb is also included in the time trial, by the way.

I have to say I'm a fan of the Podium Girls at Pais Vasco.

The ones at Lombardy Week, at the start of the ITT, were dressed like they were heading for the nearest street corner.
Awesome!

6 man break - Vorganov, Albasini, Martinez, Mayoz, A.Perez, Di Gregorio
has 3:48 over peloton
about 40K to go

edit-
should be another chance for a bunch sprint, assuming break is caught
Freire and Valv-piti can have another go at it
