This is Valverde's to lose isn't it?

He is in awesome form this year and that dogtooth profile on the Queen stage will see Caisse shatter the field.

I have really enjoyed watching the bits of this race i have seen, I think it really cuaght SKy out how much the Spanish riders are up for it and competing at 100%

I love the way Valverde guy rides, I wish the mess around him would get cleared up, or that he had just done his time 2 years ago...

And how do you see a connection between the 2 events?

lampre rider wins and former + current lampre riders are being exposed for doping. you can't quite make the link yourself? especially being on the same day.

Horner has been on or near the front on most of the climbs.

I will tip him for a good performance on the queen stage.

He is very easy to spot....Yellow Shoes:

OMG! Gavazzi is one of the riders who has been linked to the lampre "montova" doping affair and on the same day that is realeased he wins a stage!

My point is on the same day Lampre wins, former and current lampre riders are linked to doping. Surely that makes clear sense!

Well considering that most if not all of the riders he beat could conceivably have been in the exact same position..........yes, I'd say it is coincidence.

Finally someone can make sense of what I am saying! Thank you hugh!!!

just found it ironic imo. I wonder now if lampre will not let those riders race?

Mayo talked about a return, but hasn't made one.
ACF: It's just a racing coincidence. Gavazzi wins quite often.
I can't see Gesink beating either Sanchez or Valverde in the ITT, quite frankly.
However, Samu is too far down, so isn't a factor.

I find it funny that he wins on the same day though!

Mayo never tried to come back, he was without moral, he has a new life, but don't know exactly what he does

Ixua and Usartza are almost the same climb, except the final part, Ixua they get another route and go downhill, Usartza continues and then they get Santuario de Arrate. This climb is one of the famous in Basque country.
It suits Valverde very well

Sanchez 2nd? Really? After his off-day on the 1st day?
I doubt it.

I think
1. Valverde
2. Rodriguez
3. Gesink
4. Horner

He'll probably try to gain back some time with an early attack, but won't quite make it. Don't forget that he could still finish on the podium, because of the TT.

I really hope Sky can put someone in at least the top 10 today, their performances in the mountains have left something to be desired so far this year.

I don't think Sanchez can win that much time back in the TT, but ok.
Well, look at the last time they did this TT, 1.30 difference between winner Contador and no. 5 Gesink. If Sanchez can take that much time on guys like Rodriguez or Horner, he still has a chance.

Yeah, compare Sanchez to Contador in a time trial lol
Dude, your one track mind might not agree, but I think in a TT like this Sanchez could do some major damage. Maybe not quite as much as Contador, but close.
