This crap about it being bad that a sprinter is in rainbow is such Bullocks. If it was a climber we could argue we watch them thrashed in every TT, same goes for the other style riders. Road racing had various types of riders. Deal with it. It's only fair that sprinters get a chance for world championships every now and then, as other styles of riders often do.

It's also a bit to do with the Cav hate campaign in my eyes. People weren't like this when Cipo got it.

Excellent. What this board needs is more July joiner n00b haters.

If someone disagrees, remember: just label and dehumanize them. That way, you can ignore anything they say.

I'm a bit disappointed Matty Goss didn't win, and I'm slightly annoyed that Cav won ... but does anyone really think Cav and the Brits didn't deserve it?

HTC 2010 1-2-3

Shows just how dominant they were.

HTC TT too.

Also will Cav get to wear stripes in London?

Yup - absolutely incredible - I've been a critic of his in the past but I won't question his team spirit again after that.

Yep. Same here. Respect.

The tears of losers is the sweetest prize.

Didn't Genghis Kahn say that?

so - what are the chances of Cav doing the traditional thing for the WC and riding Lombardy ???? :p :D :p

He should do it. If anything to show the world that I and a lot of other people are wrong and that he'd make a great champ.

But who am I kidding, he'll ride the Paris-Tours and call it quits.

nope.

that would be pretty lame actually. I think UCI is different to a Olympic organized race.

He can make the time cut I guess:) Perhaps it's more realistic to win Paris-Tours

In days where you can barely stay awake, maybe. But I wonder how people will react when the world champion drops in the first 2nd cat, and loses 25 minutes per stage without caring the slightest bit. If he doesn't drop out, that is.

the UCi pick the course not Cav. Not my favourite race or rider winning, in fact it was a horrible race, a parade almost. But the riders had their chances to take on the Team GB and most failed miserably.

Go ask your favourite riders why they waited for the sprint.

I think the world champion is the rider who has ridden the best all year, but then the UCI would have it's money making race now would it.

Knocking Cav winning a race he entered is pathetic. I'd rather knock, Gilbert and others who have the kick to win in the last kilometres.

At least Voeckler had a go.

Cav bashing is spitting the dummy.

I don't think he cares less what people like you think about him.

Didn't you just claim to disklike haters?

If you're going to try and claim hating haters is inconsistant with disliking haters, then I'm going to ask whether you know what all the words in my sentence mean?

Can't you people understand what a nightmare this is for us haters? To see the Missile tucked in behind the Sky-train for an entire year, winning sprints, flipping off the camera and taking tows from cars, all while in the RAINBOW JERSEY. Have some sympathy, for Christ's sake.

Well, not that I had big expectations, but no attacks by big name riders, and no attacks in the last ~10 km? That's just weak. Gilbert? Boom? Gah.

I know many people hate Cav, I'm not a fan either, but at least he's one of the best and we don't have a nobody as the world champion.
