I'm sorry but that is a *** statement. Because as I said, than I could say Tony Martin has ridden no good GT in the TDF, so he is no good gt-rider. Cmon, you know it's bull****...
The guy has beaten nearly every top rider including Cancellara in prologues. You REALLY want to question his ability??

Besides I don't expect Boom in this prologue because he had knee problems in California, as theyoungest already saiid

All i say is that Boom has yet to proof that he can win TT against top competition after March. Which i doubt he can.
You do know that June and July aren't what Boom's season revolves around, right?

Hold on i didn't say anything about Booms abilities in general.

All i said is that he has never proofen that he can be up there against the bog guns in TTs in June and July. Therefore i doubt it when people name him the favorite for the prologue.

If he wants to, he could. Boom is a man who has goals, and he is only good in the period when he wants to achieve that goal.

It was already that way in cyclocross. Extremely good in a few cyclocrosses year, and normal/average in the others.
In peak form Boom is simply one of the best prologue specialists there is.

That may be, but if you talk the talk you ve gotta walk the walk. As long as he doesn't he's just a spring rider.

And as long as your beloved Tony fails miserably in every GT he rides, he's just a TT specialist..

It has been pointed out. It's in August where no one peakes, plus it was a very technical course, so no big deal he beat Tony by 1 second. But still he didn't win it.

@bavarian: and guess what prologue riding is much about? Indeed, technical skills, because prologues are often technical. Thus boom is a good prologue rider, and better than Martin when they put corners in it. Duh..

Didn't say he isn't good, all i said is that from what he has shown so far in his career there's no sign at all he can win that Dauphine prologue.

Do you understand the difference between a 5.5 km and a 52 km TT ?

What relevancy does this have to Boom's prologue ability?

15km is not that far of a prologue. A prologue super hero should be able to perform better for 15km. Shouldn't he?

No, that's like saying Sir Chris is good over 1km so should be able to win an IP.

I don't think anyone has ever considered Boom a top ITT'er. Racing in and out of corners in a city over typically 4-7km courses is very different to long straights over a few km or more.

Yep but this course in the Dauphine isn't your typical tricky city curcuit. So no chance for Boom.

If he should finish ahead of Tony a " I love Lars Boom" T shirt will be my avatar.

We get it, you do not fancy Lars Boom for the Prologue. Others do. Can you live with that? Give it a rest.

And what does a 52km TT has to do with a prologue?

I could also put Tony Martin in a cyclocross with Boom and see how it goes. But I don't see how it's relevant that Boom would put him on 10 laps there?

If you're going to be a bigot, do it right. Boom had a flat in that TT, he was on his way to a much better time.

Anyway, he probably won't beat your idol this Sunday, because as we pointed out, he only started training again two days ago.
