Still a really good time for the Shack and Machado!

Wonder what they can do with Leipheimer, Kloden, and the rest in July?

Wow... Not one, but two members of the Japanese press listening to Beppu.

Quite impressive for a very average rider.

What a great result for Radioshack, hopefully Machado can get a nice overall result. He's a talented kid. This is a great day for the American teams!

Robbie for red if Cav falls off, tomorrow.
Another elderly Shack rider discovers the fountain of youth.

Is Brian Smith afraid to praise any non-Anglo team?
It's in the contract. No Eeengleesh = naughty cheats.

Still American teams, there's no denying that. I'm American, I support the American teams. There's nothing wrong with showing some nationalism in sports.

As far as I can tell:

Machado
Nibali +12s
Scarponi +14s
Contador +18s
Arroyo +27s
Sella, Rujano +29s
Kreuziger +40s
Menchov, Sastre + 43s
Pozzovivo +52s
Rodriguez, Di Luca 54s
Anton +62s

This is nice. All teams pretty close. Anton, Pozzovivo etc. didn't lose as much as I thought they would.

So GC battle shapes up as:

1. Machado
2. Nibali +12
3. Scarponi +14
4. Contador +20
5. Androni +29
6. Krueziger (sp) +40
7. Menchov +43
8. J Rod +54

At least that's how my math works out.

I think you mean patriotism. There's definitely something wrong with showing nationalism in sports.

(Also, there can be denying when you consider HTC is basically a German setup that was inherited - though the teams have an American base, I don't think HTC has the same kind of American identity that Radioshack does)

As an aside:
How many Britons do you think were cheering on Farnese Vini? They're a British team!
