Exactly!! I saw it all, he lost the pace then blamed the wheel, when he finally got a new bike (mind you, after taking a nice 30 s break) he could not pick up the pace anymore, and Basso's group chased him down. We'll see what happen later on...

Andy may have burnt most of his matches yesterday?

Versus just showed L-T team car with Kin Andersen begging Frank to stay strong and stay with Evans, "you've been good before, you'll be good again.

or 2) This is a desperate move much like Andy's yesterday, and Andy isn't desperate anymore.

There is no reason for Andy to put in an effort. He is in the box seat. If Contador works hard, and blows up, Andy can go.

But to work, and risk blowing up and losing time to Contador would be silly.

hes capable of pulling this back in the decent...if he can is another question

Which descent? Telegraph descent is 4k, you would be lucky to make 10 seconds. Galibier descent is a different story but who knows what the time gap will be at the top?
