condator and andy could still blow and hand it to cadel - it's possible, if not a glorious way to win.

Yeah I think this could be Andy losing the Tour instead of winning it.

what people fail to realise (or ignore) is Evens is not esplosive but more a grider who will grind his way back rather than use quick explosive pace to counter quickly....

hes capable of pulling this back in the decent...if he can is another question

Keep kidding yourself!!! :D

Andy doing some work.
He is stupid. He should just sit in that group, this wont work.

Tommy V also destroying himself. Admirable but not wise imo. Could lose the podium maybe even top 5 with all this effort.

IMO this is perfect for cuddles.

There is no reason for Andy to put in an effort. He is in the box seat. If Contador works hard, and blows up, Andy can go.

But to work, and risk blowing up and losing time to Contador would be silly.

this is exactly right

people critical of Andy for not taking pulls on the Galibier are crazy.

Sit on and if you have something left from yesterday, do it on the Alpe.

again, not watching so relying on everyone's posts today :(.

i am NOT getting why andy would work. to me, he should wheelsuck on contador as long as possible so he does not risk blowing himself up after yesterday's mammoth effort. unless he's worried contador will drop and leave him alone only to be caught by the peloton and evans.

could someone describe how the riders are looking? does contador look strong or like he needs help? how about andy?

Andy should work. They can put minutes on Evans today, and they aren't riding on flats, so the its domestiques vs. Contador and Schleck on climbs. I like the latter group. This is too good of an opportunity for Andy to pass up.

Contador looks like Contador. ;)

Great effort by Contador.. he doesn't care about podium, it's 1st or nothing for him.. doubt he'll do it, but you never know after Schleck's effort yesterday..

The gap is steady, this is looking better for Evans right now. Contador isn't his usual self, he can't go full gas all the way up this climb, and BMC are looking better.

If he does I think Fränk will win it. Remember Cadel used up a lot of energy to stay with Alberto already, energy Fränk didn't have to spend.

Agreed. Let the two main threats burn themselves up then if some offense is needed take a shot on the Alpe.

Is Andy pulling? Nononononono, if he blows he's gonna hate himself for this...

Yeah but if he doesn't pull, and Evans climbs Alpe with him, its another second place for him to his loooooongg list..he has to take the risk

Yesterday's ride was epic, great and all you want..but he needs a bit more if he wants to win the whole thing!
