I think Mark Cavendish will set a big early on exclamation mark with a stunning win here!
I am sure in his fantasies , the night before, he will visualize that victory and repeat it in his mind as he crosses the line with the pack severals seconds later than the final contenders.

Pfffff. Teams like Garmin and Movistar will keep a very high speed the last 2 kilometers to prevent any attempts from opportunists.
Can't really see Gilbert winning this one. Look out for Ventoso, Hushovd, Bozic or possibly Petacchi or the Euskatel sprinter.

its gonna be too rough for the sprinters/sprint-trains. The peloton will shatter and there will be puncheurs and gc-men left in the front selection.

That is really rare only 99% of the worlds population can do so.

obviously you can't do the same, being a big fan of denis menchov (an amazing athlete) while hating alberto. yes, a rider better than menchov in all fields.

i hope that you are russian my friend.

Dead people?

i remember the first time that i saw that movie... i was young but i understood it and loved it :)

my uncle sees the future. at least he says so... but i am not close to him, even if it is amazing to hear that man lying good enough to make 30 year old people with formation looking that stupid. the problem is that he really believes that he has a gift lol let's say it... a) he is very problematic b) he is very smart. one of those or maybe both..

gilbert will be marcked... his hope will be a compact peloton in that climb, before go away. he does not have the power to outclass those teams in the flat---but canc does.

the teams will be making omega pharma work very hard (if they are smart). eventually, omega pharma will say f+ck you and stop---- paulinho for the win. breakaway in the last 10\5 km.

high pace during all the stage... small group of strong men in front, tired men. attack after attack, eventually they stop and everyone is marking gilbert, everyone besides a vino or CONTADOR. contador surprises us (you) and wins. canc won't react, needs to pick andy by his arm and take him to the finish because he was shifting and tried to respond to contador at the same time. you know the result.

After watching the news here in Norway I am convinced EBH will place higher than Thor. Edvald is down to 72kg now and will be fresher at the last k.

Such a shame about his brief infection - if he is 100% fit this would be a serious chance for him, he's been climbing far better than any sprinter this year (yes, he's not a sprinter, but he'll finish top 5 in several sprints this tour.)

Gilbert is even money for the stage tomorrow - look ridiculously low for a non sprint or mountain stage for anyone to be that low. Plent of tasty win and e/w odds;

Hushvdt 7/1, Cancellara 50s, LL Sanchez 150, Hoogerland is 400 & Porte 750/1

they don't have to be smart , the only need to be reading this forum and they gets all the genius advice they need to win.

Good that we are finally here, saywhat you will about the tour but I'm pretty excited :)

I look forward to tomorrow's TTT as the first (hopefully of many) decisive outing in the GC sense.

To tell the truth, for the next few days I'm more interested in the Giro Donne than the dull first Tour week, even though Vos winning today is way more predictable than Gilbert tomorrow or HTC on Sunday.

On the day of the utterly worthless stage 3, the women are climbing the Mortirolo.

Maybe Contador is better than Menchov, but should stop cheering for him because of that??? NO.
I have all the right reasons to hate Contador, I mean he was booed by neutral French crowd, that says a lot.

I know which one of those two still eats meat.
