10 hours plus to the tour! Biggest Race in the world with the most publicity! The only cycling race that appears in my local newspaper! The only race my friends know of! Bring it on!!!!

How i wish my country followed cycling more:(

To tell the truth, for the next few days I'm more interested in the Giro Donne than the dull first Tour week, even though Vos winning today is way more predictable than Gilbert tomorrow or HTC on Sunday.

On the day of the utterly worthless stage 3, the women are climbing the Mortirolo.

Yeah, real shame they don't already hit the Ventoux on stage 3...

I like JJ Rojas or Ventoso for this stage. If it is too tough for them then obviously Gilbert. Wouldn't be surprised to see Sammy Sanchez and Cadel Evans in the top 10.

any live coverage?

Difficult to find coverage in women cycling.
No sign of live coverage, but RAI are broadcasting 45 minute shows tacked on to the end of their Tour coverage, since the women tend to race earlier in the day so that this can be done.

They don't need to hit the Ventoux. I just want something where more than 3km of the stage is important somewhere in the first 2 weeks. Something that's a potential banana skin. Instead, everybody knows they can simply peak for week 3 and not take any risks in the first 2 weeks, so everybody bar Gilbert will be more or less on the same time gaps as they were after the TTT, +/- 20 seconds, until Luz Ardiden. It'll be like the week Nocentini spent in yellow in 2009 all over again.

Really looking forward to it, but have got my holiday plans totally back to front! We arrive in Le Mans next Friday after the Tour has left! And our holiday destination, Pornic, is just up from the Passage du Gois, but we'll be there a week late (next Saturday)! Oh well will have to try harder next year.
