don't dope if you can't cope.

sorry I just had an Eminem moment :D

Anyway he has a giro, he has that to fall back on.
Gesink really put a big season focus on this race, so he is on the course for massive failure if the injuries succumb him.

at least he won the tour of oman and got some podiums unlike the schlecks.

Pfft I had to come up with someone. He's the only one who has shown anything in a GC who's significantly younger then AS. True the odds of it happening are about 1 in 1000 but he still has a better chance of any of the guys who are Andy's age.

What GT was that? I've more impressive rides by young guys...

Hmmm so in what world is the tour of oman better then a podium in LBL? A fourth rate 1 week race vs a Monument?

There is no sprint till Sunday. I cant help but get the feeling that Cav had an opportunity to win a lot of fans and surprise his rivals and make a statement by making an effort to get in a break. Even if it failed it would shock OPL movistar and make them work.

OPL would start laughing and Phil would just get in the same break and pull him back à la Armstrong.

pfft big deal.

he trained hard for oman also, while others not as much.
For personal reasons obviously.

That doesn't make his season a success, no way.

First half of the Vuelta, before he crashed and burned. Remember he's only 22 unlike the majority of the other young guys who are all 24-26. But i'll admit it wasn't a very good example, just the only one that came to me in the 3 seconds I thought about it because I remembered being impressed with him at the start of last year's Vuelta.

He's 24, only 2 years younger then Andy and nowhere near as good as he was at 24 years of age (remember he was 2nd in the tour at 24) there is no way he will overtake him (that's not to say I don't love him, his home town is only a few km's away from where I grew up and he's an incredible talent, just never going to overtake AS).

you should really make a profession out of this. you can make that kind of stand up comedy where the comedian says a bunch of silly stuff and people laugh.

there are like 20 guys younger then andy who have shown much more talent then TJVG in terms of GT. all TJVG has for himself is a couple of good performances on a few uphill sprints on the first week of last years vuelta before vanishing never to be seen again as soon as the peloton hit the mountains and getting dropped by a guy that is aiming to put up a fight to gilbert on hilly classics on a small mountain.

If he tries to go for the Tour he's not going to do anything in the Vuelta, remember it's 2 weeks closer to the tour this year then last year. He might top 10 but he won't podium.

That would be cool, but I'm not sure he speaks that language.

Would Phil make a "zip the lip" motion, too?
