Great day for Cadel - keeps Andy in frog & gains on Contador.

This. The Schlecks must put time into Evans to win the TdF. He will beat them in the ITT. For Contador it's not as important but he's got time to regain of course.

That's it? The big push was too late. I thought if they had it in them, the Schlecks would go sooner. Contador was suffering and they might have been able to gain significant time.

i agree, but it didn't look like andy had it in him either.

Great Ride by Samu Sanchez for the win.

Contador is going to have to do something remarkable now he has lost more time.

Frank Schleck looked very good by so did Basso and Evans. Andy held onto them but not looking as good.

Not sure how many time Voeckler can do that but an excellent ride from him and Rolland.

I don't think andy was bad, when he had to he rode up to the others with ease. But he is pathetic with his concern about ac.

SAMUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was 90% sure he will get beaten by Jelle by half a wheel to keep the trend.

Hitch cheer the **** up, just imagine if you supported the other orange team.

Yes, thats what a whole years preperation went towards. A TDF stage win.

The guys won the olympic road race, TDF stage win doesnt exactly illuminate his palmares.

Yeh he really seemed like he didn't care when he crossed the line. Your back in your Sanchez depression I see.

You forgot about the big winner today: Cadel Evans!

Cuddles did well today, but he is now going to be the one that has to cover the Schleck one-two, and he just doesn't have the explosiveness to do that enough I don't believe.

Chapeau Voeckler though. I don't like the guy, but that was a ballsy ride.

honestly hitch you attitude towards samu and his tdf is really lame.
You've lost a bit of credibility this tour.

Samu just won and gained time and you are depressed.

evans needs contidope and basso to stay in the race for yellow as long as possible. no way evans can deal with schlecks 1-2 punch in the mountains to come without others to close the holes.

A great ride by Voeckler, but if anything Pierre Rolland looked even stronger, like he could've finished with the AS-Evans group if he hadn't had to drop back to help Voeckler.

It seems they're trying to get Frank away to a point everyone must react, if they can Andy will jump on their wheel and over, if they can't Frank will keep taking time. But it's hard to know for sure without knowing how good Andy is, he'll be better in the alps though, he's always at his best in the last week.

Evans is now the man to beat. Frank Shleck prooved to be the most in form on the first mountain stage.

Andy Schleck isn't, now, as strong as his brother. Contador will have a very difficult time from this moment forward.

Watch out for Ivan Basso, a diesel, if he's warming his engine up, then the Alpes will see him put on the airplane wings.

They were speaking to each other, speculating if one of them should try...
It was obvious that they were afraid Bertie was bluffin'. I don't really expect the same results on the next stages, but maybe that's just me.

Sanchez looked pretty damn happy about it. Your whining is getting really annoying

Who was it when the Schlecks were attacking whilst with CSC? That was Cuddles wasnt it?

Think it was 1999 cant remeber what climb, but they were both continually attacking, one by one, short sharp attacks.
