New favorite here. Roy's really won over the tibbs household. I only hope he's got enough left to hang onto polka dots until they hit the Alps.

No doubt it was a great ride. I thought it was silly that he expected Moncoutie to help him. (And I thought it was even sillier that Moncoutie DID help him.) But you gotta love Roy. He's been amazing this Tour, but he just can't finish it. Thor is a great champion, doing rainbows proud, but Roy... How can NOT pull for him?

Hushovd probably told him something like "you've got two choices, 1) take the occasional turn on the front and I won't attack until the final kms, 2) I'll attack right ****ing now and leave you standing here already".

I am a sad puppy at this moment :(

Great ride by Hushovd but feel sorry for Roy.

Although its funny in a way that this stage was designed for a French rider and exactly the way it was designed costs Roy the stage win.

Congrats Bak, stellar performance!

Moncoutie rode like a complete idiot today. He will be feeling the heat from the french media tomorrow, that's for sure.

Roy - Amazing effort today! :)

In true HTC fashion Lars Bak wins the sprint for the minor placings.
They must have some kind of HTC sprint tutorial when they sign for the team:)

a Monument on the other hand...

a monument is a monument and no one can dispute that but a stage in the TdF and in this manner is something very special. More publicity from a stage win than a monument win, too boot.

Moncoutie did as he could. If he could have catched Roy on the Aubisque they could have outmatched Hushovd but like that it would have been difficult. Hats off to Thor. Only 2 wins but he makes it count:)

And Roy poised to win super-combatif prize in Paris:)
Maybe Roy should have waited for Moncoutie and work together. But I guess he never thought that Thor was going to catch them.

That's why you have DS's on the radio. I guess sometimes they can be worthless.

EBH started his sprint 300 meters too early again. Lars Bak - what a ****ing ******bag. He managed to be in a breakaway for a whole day without hitting the front even once before the final 100 meters. Typical HTC tactic.

Absolutely amazed by Thor Hushovd, that was one gutsy ride!

He would trade this for Roubaix I guess.

tru dat. Still, though, all that time in yellow plus this is better IMO than chasing the green jersey again. At least he's adding to, rather than repeating.

Massive respect to Roy, too bad he couldn't pull it off. I hate Thor even more now, all that Viking bullsh*t Pffth!!
