unbelievable lampre and sky let de weert take 5 minutes.
I guess they're confident that if he spends that much energy today then Uran will easily pass him again in GC tomorrow.

It's weird. It's like there are only three men in the race who are actually riding hard, and they are the three in no man's land.

but they will be getting to the group now

Lol, De Weert. And again I'm forced to believe most World Tour teams have idiotic team leaders. Good job of De Weert though.

Correct, but they can use the other riders to chase a little bit.

this year in the mountains so far there only have been about 15kms in total of all out racing for overal and today maybe another 5 to add to it, it only warrants to watch the last 15km of every stage, I suppose we have to pay some price for having a clean Tour de France, gone are the days of riding like Festina or Kelme used to in 90s. I remember Alpine stage in 1997 to Courchevel where after 1 st climb there only were a handful of riders left in main group after 30kms in to the stage

Showed a conversation with Vaughters and Bruyneel, Vaughters saying when Roche group contacts the lead group, his team will start chasing, since 3 Vacansoleil riders be up front,

Either Kelly and Harmon are confused or I am. They just said that they are two minutes down on the break at the top of the climb, but if I'm reading the graphic right, they are two minutes down on Perez and less than a minute down on the break. If the break do let them join up, they are idiots.

Yup, only 1 minute to the break

And yup, Harmon and Kelly are confused

Can someone post the GC standings for De Weert and Peraud?

Roche seems to be killing a top10 chance for his team-mate.

I know he said in his articles he wants to attack to regain time/stage win but at the expense of the teams new #1?

well de weert is closing the gap. Not seen roche do any work yet. At least Hoogerland has an excuse with two teammates in the front group

de Weert is passing Peraud in GC

Europcar in yellow is turning out to be a huge bonus for breakaway riders. They have two great riders, but their team just isn't very good at controlling a break.

He's letting De Weert do the work since he joined the attack. Pretty standard tactics.

yeah just heard that ....

but then again - how many days has Cancellara had?

Only wearing it in Paris counts ....

Cancellara has 21 and he trails only Rene Vietto (26) in "days spent in yellow jersey without winning the Tour".

The only thing that the main peloton need are cameras to take pictures and a basket for a picnic out.:D
