so you think he's going to get better and better after a very hard 3 week giro?

It is certainly looking that way. He is getting better because his knee is better. What toll the Giro has had is hard to tell because of the knee injury.

Well, at least Voeckler did attack, as some of us anticipated.
The Contador/Samu alliance is clear to all.
For the first time, I thought Cadel was getting toward his limit, in closing the gaps. Took the sensible approach to the downhill, though.

When Sagan is old enough for puberty he's going to own the world. Whats up with these Nowegians and there descending.

Have you looked at a map of Norway - Mountains and hills and Mountains and ice and snow and cold and and and

Come on, if anything his form will get much worse.

You may find it unbelievable or whatever, but it's pretty obvious that's what's happening.

What race were you watching?

Tends to be like that. If you rest a lot after the Giro, you aren't going to get near peak form in the Tour, until late on.
So, I'm afraid so, from your stand point.

The same one as you were, but without an agenda.
Like I said, he may just have been taking a steady approach.
Way too sensitive to comment perceived as Cadel criticism, as per normal.

To be honest, yes. He's looking more fluid on the bike and more comfortable. I still think he's a long shot for the podium. This is Cuddles' GT to lose at this point and I don't think he will. That being said, Contador is coming around. I don't think that should be doubted.

Sagan would of won that by getting away on his own, stopping for lunch, do some shopping and still win by 7 minutes. :D

I'm glad for Hagen, messed the sprint up yesterday and came back and got the job done. Great descent by him.

I gotta admit I gotta a bit nervous when i saw sanchez and contador up the road. thought evans would lose some time. Really impressed by contador today he looked great. the schlecks were impressive too. I guess a wet and dry descent makes a lot of difference for andy. Cadel looked slightly tired at the finish but he always does so its hard to tell. He still has to fight very hard for the win. Hope he can hang in there in stage 18 and 19. FFS GOOO EVANS!!!

I thought Contador and Samu were going to get time, but I guess a bigger group won out.

Still, I was surprised when the TV all of a sudden showed Andy leading the group back to Contador. Made me really happy!

Miracles do happen!! Tomorrow's gonna be fantastic!

Great ride by Eddy Boss, Sanchez, Contador, and well done to Evans, Andy, and Frank!! A pleasant surprise!

Oh no no no Uran is in top 10. Is there a chance he wont finish there?

Will have to see how he does in the alps , looks like he will though doesn't it. Just makes u think this guy is only a water-carrier for Bradley and hes doing so well. I think its fairly obvious to everyone if Wiggans was still here he would already have this wrapped up ;)

He recovered from the Giro during the 4 weeks between Giro and Tour.

The problem the Giro poses is that he hasnt ridden and isnt on a peak, as the Tour starts just as he recovered from the Giro.

So it means he starts off crap and the aim is to improve as the race progresses.

A question for everyone, if Contador can win this does it rate better than Pantani coming from a long way back to win in '98?

Also, would be the first to win Giro/Tour double since Pantani.

How could one possible rate a Giro/Tour double as less or better then the other? Each of this amazing feature is legendary in its own right.

I don't see how you could realistically have two peaks like that and still not be tired even if what you are saying is true
