As I've said before I don't mind if Evans wins, but he can't afford to lose time, as I don't think his ITT is that great anymore, remember in '08 he couldn't overall that well known ITT specialist Sastre. If the other favs go early, like the 2nd climb he'll struggle especially if Contador and A.Schleck do their start/stop/start/stop/start attacks.

If Evans has yellow jersey i think he can podium the tt, beat even Contador and lose just to Spartacus and Tony.

Also once again i have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Since you bring me into it, i would like to know however, so maybe you want to be a bit more clear in your posts.

What i can gather is that you dont like that i posted in a thread of yours. Then you mention something about another thread and say i ruined it by talking about Samu (Even though that thread was about Samu, go figure).

In fact in that thread, if you actually read my posts im actually praising Contador not Samu saying Contador did most of the work, but hey, actually reading my posts would be a lot more difficult than finding an excuse to insult me rigtht?

Geez, you want panache? Getting on the podium takes huge talent, dedication, luck and thoughtful use of human resources. Asking for pointless flair smacks of a dilettante's appreciation for the race IMO.

Sure, any win is still a win. Still, it would be nice to see it attained through aggression in addition to smart defense. Of course, Cadel doesn't need to be concerned with our opinions and won't be. He'll take the win any way he can get it, as would you or I.

I'm not sure how fans watching at home can be anything other than dilettantes, unless by dilettante you mean sometime-watcher or Tour-only watcher. I'm pretty sure many of those who appreciate panache in a race wouldn't fall under that heading.

Unless Contador shows some unexpected (but after the Giro not entirely improbable) weakness on one of the mountain stages, attacking him is the last thing Evans should be doing at this point.

But he might have the opportunity under a variety of scenarios - and if he does I trust he will take them.

I like Cadel and I could root for him except that he rides passive aggression. I cannot remember a time when Cadel has attacked in all the years, a nice solo attack, not reaction to someone else's attack. Its been sit and wait for mistakes. Sort of reminds me of squash in the 70s and 80s, game of attrition until Jonathan Power of Canada changed squash with aggressive play and brought some excitment. The schlecks are also passive aggressive...BORING.

Force your opponent to make mistakes. That is ACs way, take the battle to the field.

And that is exactly why AC garners so much respect among racing fans.

it has been getting worse ever since stage 9. and i would say that when you finish 6 minutes down on the sprinters on a stage like this, its pretty bad

I've never heard any ex team mate of him except Phil say a good word about him. Some have called him weird, others autistic, eccentric, etc
