I knew he was in the Tour, just commenting on how invisible he was so far :p
And I just commented on my ability to pick the lottery numbers two weeks from now, and play the lottery with those numbers this week :D

Maybe he is concerned about rider safety:confused:
Which is why I asked why nobody was concerned when it was used for the 2009 Giro.
Maybe, it's just a climate that recent accidents have created.

Point is, this is professional road racing, not professional wide, flat and uphill only racing.

After all, these guys are supposed to be the elite of our sport.

dunno if you were watching the 'before' stuff, but they did discuss Samu a bit ... said they expected him to podium, and had an interview with him about today too.

I think he is a good chance at it

Im watching 20 minutes behind on rewind so I was talking about the "before stuff":p

I only saw one.

It only takes one?

The certain Mr Kelly to whom you refer probably knows a thing or two about bike riding. He was a fairly good descender. I'd take his opinion seriously.

BTW I'm all in favour of descents. Most people tend to complain about having climbs neutralised by descents in to the finish but yesterday was one of the occasions when it wasn't.

Just cos it happened in the old days doesn't mean it shouldn't be changed. I'm sure the current crop of formula 1 drivers for example wouldn't fancy going back to the 70s and racing.

Back to stage 17!

they showed a bit about the 2009 Giro - that was when Kelly was saying how dangerous a descent it is ....

costa is not in the break

costa should drop out. his tour is done and he may be getting himself a serious knee problem when he could be focusing on the autumn classics.

portuguese commentators saying that the galibier is pretty much confirmed . . . .

Europcar riding like sportiff riders and too slow, I dont blame Roche and Hoogerland for going.
