I started thinking that and then I realized, it doesn't matter. Saxo doesn't need to panic. No one in the break is a threat to AC and Leopard-Trek still needs to animate the race, which judging by their decision to put two riders in the break, means they intend to do so.

So all they need to do is sit in, marshall their forces and be prepared to cover the moves. Tranquilo. ;)

I think what we all want is a couple of Saxos in the break, then a big attack from Contador on say, the Izoard, with the break Saxos dragging him up the first flattish part of Galibier.

Leopards in the break will do nothing other than hand out bottles on Galibier (c.f. stage 14)

I don't think I've ever seen or heard so much coverage on the tour de france today in Australia

Get on board what could be the greatest sporting bandwagon since Australia won the Americas Cup.

Opps, there goes the curse.

Saxo, you fail!

Leopard is burning 2 guys. The Agnello is a monster, specially after the dam where the 11%begins and pretty much stays hard till the top. It is better to send riders later, and just riders that can climb, not whoever.

Surprised they put Monfort in the lead group. he is one of Leopards climbers and would be better to have him set something up for the schlecks behind. Should of put Cancellara or OGrady in the break.

O'Grady is a mountain domestique, don't you remember last Saturday when he obliterated everyone at the foot of the climb that set up Andy's 2-second gain?!

Poosthuma has not looked that great to me. Will be interesting to see how the Leopards go.

MB for BMC bridging the gap means that Evans wants to make a move today. MB has flogged himself to death for Evans so far this tour. make the move today, consolidate tomorrow.
