Just got a chance to check in... wow, very big and gutsy attack by Andy Schleck. Where's he been before today? Having two riders up the road looks to have been a great move too. It seems his pull from Posthuma didn't last long before Andy left him behind, but I take it Monfort is a big help for him in picking out lines on the descent? I wonder how much of this was planned ahead.

I'm guessing Contador et al. figured his attack was way too early and they can bring it back together later. Maybe they're being too confident.

In all fairness...

Evans has been up front all the TdF. He hasn't been hiding, yet that is what he has been accused of... but check the results.. from week 1 he is there.

Cadel is being judged way to harshly by many people here. he's riding within his limits and has shown his face at front more than once.

Poosthuma drove the break on for a long long time so the tactic probably was to keep Monfort fresh to help Andy.

Question is: How far beyond Briancon is Andy going to have company?
Monfort is certainly running low, imo.
The rest are already not playing ball.
Time for the rest to get their heads together.

Nobody is riding.
Evans is best placed, he has to do it.

Exactly, why do people care how a race happens an hour out from the finish? The history books remember places, not attacks. Fun to watch, but if it results in a loss, it's not impressive.

Ofcourse, sports aren't about the joy and excitement of watching it. It's all about the results, that's why only sports teams that win championships have fans and why no-one ever bothers watching sports live but rather buys books of sports statistics.......o wait.

No-one is chasing!

Dekker, shut the eff up and leave the thread alone so we can watch the race in peace.

2'30 for Andy...

If they can't pull it together in the favorite group fast than it's done.

They should bring 1-2 min back on the flat so maybe they won't catch him after all before the climb kicks up
