This is the huge problem with colombians, sure they can climb and have great talent. but they cant keep on their bike and they cant descent and always crash. in the end they never fulfill their talent and dont have such great careers.

sorry but knowning how to descend and how to stay on your bike and making good tactical choices its also part of the talent pack. if all some1 can do is climb but are awfull at everything else then doesn't matter how well he climbs he isn't that much talented.

i am tired of seeing cyclists talent being compared by just how well they can climb

that's a bit of a generalisation isn't it?

it may have escaped your notice but Colombians are not the only nationality of riders who crash.

BS. Soler is not all Colombians. Should I take Phinney as an example and claim Americans and BMC riders can't stay on their bikes?

Colombians have more good downhillers/bike handlers than bad I'd say. Most of them ride in South-America however.

Soler has always been a dodgy bike-handler. He even makes Gesink look good on a bike :p

my post was not related to BMC or americans so no need to mention them.

just got home, soler hurt? Anyone mind giving me a little recap. Very sad :(

stage neutralized?

Stage not neutralized.

Soler apparently fell quite hard and crashed into the audience. I don't know anymore details apart from the cranial fracture D_T reported.

Wonder what took Soler so long. Is injury serious ?

Not in Sittard today ? Wanted to visit Elektrotour, but weather is really bad and changes every second.

well this is a need, as you're original post was such a sweeping comment and stereotyping of Colombians, that hrotha was simply pointing out that other riders from other countries also crash regularly.

to be fair, you did likewise in mentioning all Colombians.
Soler is not a representation of their bike handling skills.

What would a cranial fracture mean for his future?
Petr Cech and Christian Chivu are still playing football after their cranical fracture.

It all depends on how bad it is.
