A little OT but can anyone tell me where does Moreno have his 65th point in the Vuelta points competition from?

He has a 1st, two 3rds and a 13th in the stage finishes and won one intermediate sprint from a break.

That's 25+16+16+3+4=64 points.

After stage 7 he has the correct amount of points, 41 for finishing 1st and 3rd on stages 4 and 5.

Points standings after stage 8 do not work and after stage 9 Moreno has 42 points.

Problem is Moreno didn't score any points on stages 8 and 9 according to the stage results.

I can only say, huh?

he got one point for 15th place on stage 8

don't know why it isn't listed on the webpage but according to the regulations there are points for the first 15 at the finish

I don't have the courage to say that Froome WILL win the Vuelta, but I think he has a better chance the general consensus on here. It's only 20 seconds and there are time bonuses. Froome has been one of the best handful of climbers in the race, and much of that time has been spent thinking about working for Wiggins. Should be a highly interesting stage 17.

22 seconds and it's probbaly going to more instead of less by the end of this week

Have you checked intermediate sprints? Think he's won a couple points in them.

You know what's sad, that a hill like the Cauberg will probably have bigger time gaps than this MTF.

maybe after 200km of rolling hills, but merely replace the hill with this and no. Unless you mean between the favorites, then yeh maybe. Explosive hills you see less groups coming together.

That's unlikely considering the time gaps in 2010. (1'30 between 1 and 10)
Plus the stage is now at a later stage than Vuelta 2010..

I'm just trolling the Vuelta mountain stages(except Angliru) :p

It's a bit of a hyperbole with truth in it.

Which, incidentally, has not much to do with the Vuelta mountains, but more with the level playing field we have here.

Put Gilbert, Rodriguez, the Schlecks, Evans, Contador, Sanchez out of the hilly classics and you'll probably get mass sprints even in LBL

True, should have said trolling the Vuelta field as that's what I meant actually :p

Though Sanchez and Contador aren't really factors in Ardennes.

3. slagter

I also like mollema, poels, slagter and more. I don;t hate dutch riders. I just really hate gesink, kruiswijk and some others

my friend told me last year at tour avenir he spoke to slagter, who was watching the ceremony with colombian team and quintana and was smiling legimiately so happy he was for them. since then I really like slagter. who is also a bit colombian in build ;)

So your friend saw Slagter smiling at the Colombians at avenir last year and you like him? *facepalm*

Your posts continue to baffle me.

Anyway, who is in the break?

Kruijswijk? I knew you didn't like Gesink, but why him?

Do Sky have anyone in their team other than Froome and Wiggins? It's not rocket science to try to get someone in the break today.

BMC put someone in the break! I'd give them a 2 out of 10 for their vuelta do far. Phinney's 5th in the ITT and Frank's great ride into 4th on a mtf were the only highlights. Now they put someone in the break on a stage they have no chance to survive.

Nah man, the Vuelta mountain stages suck. They're either super short, or just one lone MTF (and usually not a very hard one, at that).
