Nah man, the Vuelta mountain stages suck. They're either super short, or just one lone MTF (and usually not a very hard one, at that).

Contador would have been able to open up some bigger gaps though(around 1 minute or something) on some of these stages. But they definitely suck in length and mountains in it. Olano should come up with something better next year.

Won't happen. Their official policy is to make sure the gaps are as ridiculously small as possible. Olano doesn't even want to include the Angliru, but he has to because it's good business.
(Also can you make one post where you don't reference Contador or Gilbert?)

So your friend saw Slagter smiling at the Colombians at avenir last year and you like him? *facepalm*

Your posts continue to baffle me.

Anyway, who is in the break?

no, he talked with him about them. and he truly understood how strong they were as he had raced them and he liked the way they raced.

Do Sky have anyone in their team other than Froome and Wiggins? It's not rocket science to try to get someone in the break today.

Not if the team are planning to try and attack Cobo. They would just be chasing down their own rider in the breakaway.

Kruijswijk? I knew you didn't like Gesink, but why him?

cuz he's broingas hell, even more so than gesink. I saw him this tours tv programs and also he's very limited. arguably less explosive even than gesink.

Not if they time it right. Getting someone in the breakaway but keeping it within striking distance of the peloton could mean having one domestique 3 or 4 kms into Peña Cabarga, without having to sacrifice Wiggins or (god forbid) Froome. And anyway, so what if they're chasing down their own rider in the breakaway? He'd be there to be chased down, not to win the stage.

I quite clearly said trying to get Froome the win tomorrow + the bonus seconds would get him the race lead.

On the assumption that Cobo didnt come second or third. And if cobo came fourth then assumedly there would be a time seperatation so Froome would gain more than 20 seconds and take the overall lead.

Never going to happen. Geox will not let Froome win the stage.

The real riders who fight it out in the ardennes constantly
Schlecks
Gilbert
Vino(gonna retire)
Valverde
Kolobnev(caught for doping)
Evans

Contador hasnt took part a lot but he is really active whenever he takes part
Sanchez is active in the ardennes once in a while.

Have you ever watched an interview with Peter Sagan? Talk about boring.

As for explosiveness, I kindly refer you to the stage he won in Suisse.

Third on the muur while on a training regime dont count?

No they didn't influence the race in any way, it would have been the exact same without them thus they were no factor.

Besides, GT contenders are always in a training regime according to you :p

Sagan wasn't a good example here. The guy did a wheelie no hands on the Angliru.

So? Ryo refers to Kruijswijk's character in an interview. Well, if that's a reason not to like a rider...

(apart from the fact that Kruijswijk, like Gesink, appears to be intelligent and modest, two characteristics Ryo doesn't like :p)

Looks like it from his blog.

Not sure what the problem was but from the translation it seemed to affect the way he was sitting and sounds like a saddle sore.

'Murepoisiks was sitting on the eggs of birds from a very painful way full of a hard thing to pop out.'

Apparently Siutsov dropped out with the same problem 10 days ago.

Olano should be fired.

Surprised that Cofidis let Montaguti get into the break. Would have thought that Moncoutie would have been stuck to his wheel. Just makes it more likely that the break will be brought back - Moncoutie has enough of a buffer that Montaguti taking the 3rd cat wont make too much impact. However, they wont want the break to contest the final climb although other teams will want it brought back anyway.

Zomegnan should be hired for la vuelta.
