Poels sat on the wheel of Wiggans till he blew then sat on the wheel of Froome till he sprinted past on the flat section at the top. The pictures tell the story!

The pictures tell the story, are you serious? :D Watch the stage on video. When Wiggins blew up and Froome also had problems Poels wnet in front of both. Menchov went after Poels and Froome went after Menchov, i'm pretty sure i saw it happen.

I hope it's not off-topic and they they were talking about wages in Portugal. :) Missed the last couple of hours.

Anyone wondering why Haussler didn't go at the finish while he went for the intermediate sprint: it seems like he was one of those who went in the wrong way.

Indeed, but don't mind Benotti69 he is usually full of bs

Benotti I urge you to watch the video on youtube or dailymotion of the Angliru.
When Wiggins blew poels went to the front, not Froome. Menchov went after Poels and then the camerabike went boom.

You didn't see it happen, because there were no pictures. When we last saw them Froome was just leaving Wiggins and joining back up with the other two. Then we have nearly 8 minutes of footage with no pictures of them. When we finally see them approaching the finish line Poels looks like he's just jumped Froome, and then Menchov does the same.

We have no idea what happened in those 8 minutes, so how you and Dekker_Tifosi know that Poels dragged Froome up the Angliru is anyone's guess. Having watched Froome climb on the front for the previous 10k I kinda doubt that interpretation.

Ok, so what do we all know? When we last saw them they were going in this order: Poels, Menchov, Froome.

This really sounds so thrilling mysterious. :D
Could be a movie title.

It was really a shame and nearly a scandal...then suddenly they came out of the fog.
We will never know what happened in those 8 minutes.....

This.
Please rewatch the footage because you guys are now claiming Poels never went to the front while it was in CLEAR view on TV he went to the front wen Wiggins parked. Menchov jumped in wheel and Froome first sayed with Wiggins for a bit and then went his own chance and closed the gap

That picture was taken extremely close to the top, it's possible that Froome got his act together again by that time.

Yes, Finally JJ gets his win.

Brilliant solo victory.

:D . As for Froome, what you gain in the sprints (?) you lose on the roundabouts. At least it looks like he tried, but I only saw the last couple of minutes on video. Looking forward to today's stage though.

Edit: It seems that what you lose in the sprints, you also lose on the roundabouts:eek: .... Oh well, won't matter.

Now who's making assumptions and clutching at straws?

@MarkCavendish:
With regards to today's #Vuelta finish, that's why EVERY rider should read the race-booklet. There's no excuse when the finish is AS IT SAYS
@RobertWagner83:
thanks for that advice @MarkCavendish (it's just right!) ..luckily that you are always the smartest!
