Most Dauphiné are crap, but it is interesting to see where Nibali and Cobo stand in 53kmTT against Evans, Wiggins, AS, Menchov. I don't think Nibali has even done such long tt recently.

Vino - Is it his first race after the horrible injury?. Kashechkin and Vino racing together again. :)

 But Cancellara has?

And Evans has shown anything on cobbles?

I didn't say that ;)

Closest imo would be Wiggins who as I said came 25th in PR wchich is decent.

And imo anyway this is almost close to impossible in current peleton. Evans stands NO chance at it and Cancellara too.

I actually generally like the Dauphine. Anyway yeah the TT should be really interesting to see how the gc contenders stack up in their time trialing ability. Maybe andy schleck has progressed and will suddenly ride tt's like contador... Also I hope Menchov finds the tt form he used to have when he was at Rabobank because the lasy 2 years he hasnt been as good.

That's because he's not riding the Giant Trinity bike anymore. Haha.

I've just backed Menchov each way at 80/1 with Bet365.

20/1 the place seemed like decent odds.

Here I thought it was the famous "TT" coach who was the genius behind JRod improvment

It's been a bit of both. The team has been raving about the new Canyon, however it's really only J-Rod who has shown this dramatic of increase in TT performance so far this year

He can't possible go in a breakaway every time there's an HC climb though.
But I see what you mean

Of course he's not a gt rider at all but he's insanely talented and do really well in most of the terrain (I have doubts on Paris-Roubaix but he can manage it as well)

I agree, but that's not the point being discussed though.

It's a point . Can he do Paris Roubiax - Tour double ? Which I don't think he will and is not the type of rider that will. He will struggle in Tour's long TT's and most .HC's. Paris Roubaix is more doable for him, but still he won't win it soon imo.

I dont think that he will try to win the tour at all, he's like a super-classic rider, which can do very well in all monuments in a few years

I am sooo bored these days.......

+1, I feel the same way, even if the route sucks I need a race to follow. And the tour of Luxembourg isn't doing it for me

It doesn't look like THIS race will help you with that, I'm afraid.

The field seems strong, but I agree on the parcours, the gaps in the TT will be too large to make anything else important for GC, and as revealed at the Giro, unless it's exciting for GC people seem bored, despite a few great stages like Rabbotini's win. I think the racing will be better at the tour de Suisse.
