Good one from Sean kelly: if cavendish had done what Ferrari did, he'd probably been fishing on the Isle of Man today.:)
That's a great reward [fishing] if one's the big favorite and take riders down left and right. :D

There's something on the camera lens of the helicopter, a squashed insect or perhaps some oil.

I can't, Eurosport has put all of their commercials for half a week inside the first hour of this stage
I know what you mean. They are insensitive, uncivilized....and as long as the cycling hard core TIFOSI don't UNITE!!!!!!!!!!TV crews and channels will keep stepping on US. But we'll not take it anymore. That's why I'm in favor of the breakaway league. After all, UCI do not look after the well being of athletes......2 year ban for anything, including non performance enhancing stuff.....National federations where the actors and actresses, i.e. RIDERS..don't vote, nor do they have a voice, on matters which affect their well being. Directors reap the benefit$, and the athletes go begging overseas:mad:
I'd jeopardize my own ranking as an independant journalist anytime, since I don't live off the sport. It's just a hobby for me. That's why I studied Econometric forecasting and economic fluctuations with Dr. Lawrence klein, PHD. Nobel 1980.

The third. The insect on the camera lens of the helicopter will take a fly, not to be seen ever again.

Haven't been able to watch any cycling the last couple of weeks, yet I still can't force myself to watch this stage.
I'll just watch some curling or something for the next hour

Doesn't really feel like the Giro has started for me yet, I missed the stage yesterday which appears to have been good but I'm hoping that it'll come alive for me this weekend.

Too bad the weather is good. Some rain or high winds would be nice.

OT but are there any mud stages this year and if so, which ones?

Barely a hill, is it...

~6,2% average for 1200 metres, steepest part is ~10% (for 200 metres)

it's not massively steep, but we will see what consequences it will have for riders which are not 100% fit, like Cav or Guardini...

:rolleyes:You guys are picking on the usual suspects. But remember that King*Thor can climb and drop the pure sprinters on any hill, despite how easy it may be; if both BMC and my team, RadioShack, awaken from deep slumber and test Bennati. Don't write off Ventoso from Movistar neither. Or Haedo from Saxo. Hungry teams w/o GC leaders. Before the war of attrition starts, here is your last chance!!!!

Didn't know it was 'that difficult'. Disappointing if we don't see any attacks there.
