Ok so even before the turn it looked like Sky got swamped by Movistar and Saxo I think. How are they going to handle the tour when people really really want those stages and have guys like Greipl or Kittel who can take them?

What the ****

F Schleck given at 0 seconds, while he definately lost time without bad luck in the final 3km.
I hope some DS pays attention and says something about this

edit: even guys like Sella who came in a minute after and didn't have anything to do with the falls.

just like that previous sprint with the 90 degree left-hander at around 350-250m before the finish, this was again quite exciting. It really taps a couple of different sprint skills, including bike handeling and a different type of acceleration. Sprinters have to go from 0 to max in about 300 meter contrary to those compulsively obsessed full speed preparations on broadway.

More technical sprint finishes please!

+100000000 ...........moar!!!

I honestly don't know where Schleck was dropped at. When the cameras finally showed him, it was within the last few K, but who knows when he went off. Was he just dropped by the pace or were there any other factors that led to him falling off the pace.

I wouldn't worry about Fränk. The standings are very much provisional right now, and it's only natural that at first glance they'll mix up some groups. We've seen stuff like this being corrected later on tons of times.

Ferrari and cav appeared to launch at similar speeds, it was obviousl he struggled to get going after the corner.

Ferrari went through cleanly, Cav had to scrub speed when his lead out man overcooked the corner.

2km before the cameras showed it the Belgians already reported Schleck was in group 2 according to radiocorsa so no way was it within the 3km rule

I don't think anybody's worrying about him, people are more interested to know if he lost indeed 45 sec. ;)
