Stupid retweet from Cav, that. Crashes happen in sprints, yes even on the day Wouter Weylandt died, and his death shouldn't be exploited in this way. Absolutely tasteless, makes me puke.

Interesting to see Henao in the Cav train. Is he the new Tony Martin? :p

How is it exploiting that tragedy?

El P is just really angry that people aren't hating Cavendish as much as usual. He is grasping at straws at the moment, any possible reason to try and hate Cav will do.

I'm not defending sprinters. Some of them are just as bad as Ferrari, that's my point. I'm not defending Ferrari's move, just don't think he should be treated as if he was Hitler. ;)

Definitely not by hypocrites like Cavendish.

I don't think he is being treated as if he was Hitler and I'm sure no one else does and why are you just singling out Cavendish as he wasn't the only one who hit the road because of Ferrari,s actions which may have taken out the race leader.

Yes, the sprinting field is not good here and Bos just crashed yesterday which affected him ;)

If all the best sprinters of the world were here, it would be entirely different. But like I said, besides Cav who crashed today, most of them are absent.

No. You ridiculed me for saying that Goss is the 2nd strongest sprinter in the race. You said Renshaw and many others are better.

You were wrong. Though since you have never admited that, i shouldnt have expected much. even in times when you were caught major with your pants down like when you said Singapour was a muslim country, you continue to fight and scratch and claw, but dont ever admit you were wrong.

Keep digging Pisti, keep digging.

No he didn't. Pisti is always right

Those evil moderators are probably always going back back and editing the posts to make it look like he said something he didn't. ;)

Wait wait wait, he said Renshaw is a better sprinter than Goss, just as he was arguing that Renshaw isn't a sprinter at all in that comparison with Thomas?

This is the relevent rule:-

UCI rule 2.3.036 Riders shall be strictly forbidden to deviate from the lane they selected when launching into the sprint and in so doing, endangering others.

A move of 4mtr to the right was clearly not warrented as he had plenty of room on his left and therefore can only be deemed dangerous.

Nope, I said based on this year's performances you couldn't know that Goss was Cavendish' biggest rival. That's why the whole discussion started. If in a few days some other sprinter wins what will you say then?

Not digging, you're just taking everything out of context to suit your point again. You stated like a fact that Cav's biggest rivals weren't hindered by the crash. Bos was clearly faster than Goss in the Tour of Turkey. He crashed yesterday and doesn't have a nearly as good train as GreenEdge does, but keep believing your own view I guess. Seriously, posting a chat history from a different site where I was just baiting you? That's borderline creepy. ;)

Oh and what about Farrar? Wasn't he Cav's biggest rival too? Or are you ignoring him because he's still very slow this year compared to his past results? ;)

Looking at the photographs of the finish, it would appear that the crash happened within 200M to go. I seem to recall that a rider may not deviate from their line once the sprint has opened up.
Thanks, that's what I was looking for.

For crying out loud.

They didn't take you out of the Tour de Suisse even if you almost ruined a couple of careers... You've only been sent home once because of an obscene gesture.

yeah, how a world champ unworthy tries to rewrite history , a shame

Cav's move in the Tour de Suisse was not anywhere near as violent or idiotic as Ferrari's today. He drifted off his line but Ferrari swung over diagonally across the road for no reason at all.

At first, I didn't think the crash was enough to send Ferrari home, but what about his comments aftermath? He said that he did nothing wrong. Who says that he won't do the same thing on the next sprint stage? Sending him home will give him the message, that he cannot do something like that...

Ferrari deserves everything that comes his way since the moment he refused to admit he made a mistake and said he doesn't care.

Very good post , but hopefully he will learn from his mistake all though I'm sorry he took Cav down I'm sure Cav will win at least another stage this year , the guy I fell sorry for most is Phinney as even if he can carry on his injuries might cost him another day in the leaders jersey .I know this is not the first time a leader has had this happen to them but it's a sad way to lose the race lead.

I think Ferrari deserves all the criticism he gets but I don`t think Orla Chennaoui should be using the death of Wouter Weylandt to criticise Ferrari.

I know she is close to the Sky team and she is Sky Sports`s reporter for cycling but that was ill advised by her and for Cav to retweet.

agreed

also brian holm was right about the twitter.they should wait at least two hours after the race.

ferrari is an idiot in my book because of his reaction afterwards.i mean some decency won't do any harm son.a mistake is not the end of the world but at least keep it classy.

Which was made clear when you said this

Goss still made a fool of him self the first part of the season. GT stage win against a meh field isn't going to change my opinion.

But if we can believe you Goss doesn't care about those races in the first part of the season. ;)
