My opinion is that the wt system is unfair and greenedge, BMC and a few other teams which care little for the Giro should be content with invites for the Tour and Vuelta and let teams who dont get to ride GTs be invited.
Exactly there should be something to make it possible that some WT teams would not ride all GTs. It's a shame that a team as FDJ (if they will send a team that I think they will send to the giro) will take a spot over Colnago, Farnese Vini or Coldeport.
Further I think Androni (Rujano, Serpa, Sella, Ferrari) and Aqua & Sapone (Di Luca, Garzelli, Betancourt, Taborre) will be certain of a spot in the Giro (and fully deserve it).
For the remaining spots I hope they go to Colnago and Coldeport. Colnago has an attractive team for the Giro besides Pozzovivo, Pirazzi and Brambilla will give colour to the Giro by attacking like crazy man, Modolo might show himself in the sprints, maybe Piechele can step it up in the sprints after a year full of injury, and they have (1 of) the biggest talent(s) in Italy in Battaglin.
Coldeport would also be a very nice team to have in the giro who could influence the race in the mountains and make the mountain stages more spectacular especially with Duarte, Suarez and Atapuma.
Farnese Vini would have a nice team aswell but for me they have the least to add to the giro from the 5 teams I mentioned. Ascani for the GC who has never ridden a GT before and will not be an attractive rider since he aint the attacking type. Pozzato and Gatto would could offer some attacking fun but they are less attractive and possible GC influencing (is that a word?) then the above named teams. The only real shame would be to not have Guardini in the giro.
If any other team besides the 5 above mentioned teams would get an invite I would cry.
