I was looking for Cav in all the overhead shots and I didn't see him once.

I only saw the last 10/15 minutes but didn't spot him at all either (though I had a P-N stream running at the same time so wasn't paying full attention)

That's 1 time...

He won Pologne on boni seconds from the flat stages and suffered uphill in a mediocre field.

In any other mountain stage or hilly stage he usually drops fast and often finishes in the last few groups...

Examples being...

Apparently he was there (wearing the sprints jersey) but didn't sprint. Must have planned to let EBH have a go.

Obviously paid off!

Today's stage was lost by the Leaky-train in the last corner...Hunter got past Oss, and the latter had to brake so much that Sagan lost all of his speed and then it was way too late...

Anyway I still believe today Sagan was the fastest. Chapeau EBH, a well deserved win!!!

stage too short for freire indeed, the difference is on his performance from short to long stages is almost unbelievable.

anyway nice win for hagen, very weird sprint

lol. that has nothing to do with it. a flat stage of 170 km and 230 km is same thing. hell even blijlevens won flat tour stages of nearly 300 km

lol how many of us did have an idea that they will sprint on cobbles?
also cav looked angry and he was chasing somebody.
napolitano as always putting the fear in that astana guy.

news about lanciano?is the road clear of snow?

WOW! Edvald beat Greipel and Farrar in a normal sprint!:eek:

Havnt you noticed? Someone normally beats Farrar & Greipel in the sprints.

Except in meaningless training hols in Australia etc

greipel clicked out of his pedal/gear (whatever) which halted him for 1 or 2 seconds which is why he lost. I thougth that was pretty obviosu except for maltiv

Re: Farrar, i think Jonathan Vaughters said that Farrar trains with the classics partly in mind at this time of year rather than just concentrating on sprinting. Maybe just trying to take some pressure off him but worth considering.

Beating Greipel when he starts the sprint alongside you is pretty damn rare. Greipel's problem is usually his ****ty position. Anyway, I knew EBH is in great shape but didn't think he was in such good sprinting shape too. Will be interesting to see how he goes on the hilly stages, should be a good indication of where he will be in the classics.
