Evans is riding for second so far.

Good thing we still have two weeks to race...

Evans has learned a lot in the last few years. Namely, that getting into the lead early does not solidify the lead. Look at 2010, 2011

How similar is this finish to the one a year ago where Voeckler took yellow? I rememebr an uphill finish? I think last year the hill was a little longer?

Only ask because Sanchez got the stage win, and is looking good to take today maybe

Props to Nibali for trying. Hindsight, he should have waited with his attack until the last descent, he could have taken 1 minute on it.

Fair enough. Next, I will discuss the financial crisis without mentioning banks. :)

And that, you would be doing in the politics thread or so.

You have been around long enough to know where do discuss "the banks"

I look at 2011 and I see Evans trying (successfully) to get time everywhere. I look at 2012 and I see a Sky train.

He should've attacked earlier, together with Vdb when he went for the first time. Wiggins might've stayed with him, but Porte might've been dropped.

RSNTs most offensive GC move today was not to abandon en masse.

sigh... what is wrong with them? So much talent and they're just sitting there. Again I'll say that if they all got behind a leader, say Zubeldia at this point, and actually sacrificed themselves to help him, maybe they could do something.

Yep, he needed someone (eyes RSNT and Cuddles) to be attacking on the first descent, expend a sky dom catching them, and then go all out.

Yes. Like Contacor's attacks. Drop the do domestiques then it is man on man.

Meanwhile VDB might get nearly a minute.
