Strange. Froome first gets dropped almost

and then he is the strongest climber shedding everyone with a blistering acceleration

Oh, get over the "sky sucks because they won't let Froome win". Froome vs. Wiggins would probably be a very tight Tour. Wiggins has been more consistently at the top in the ITTs even though Froome proved he's damn good. Froome could gain some time in the mountains but we can't say how much without them actually racing against each other. Leave it. Sky said from the start that they have one leader. The only way that changes is if something happens to Wiggins.

Was Froome going to gain 2 minutes with that move?

Maybe or maybe not but he would have had 10 more days to get however much time back if Sky actually allowed him to go for the win, and by all accounts he has looked way stronger than Wiggins, just like the Vuelta last year.

Yeah. Twice he dropped. I was wondering the same.
