They just posted a replay of the crash and its aftermath on SBS TV in Australia. The SBS commentators described Wiggins and Rogers as having committed a "professional foul" for deliberately steering into the crash.

PS - Even my wife, who knows ****** all about cycling, couldn't believe how blatent is was that Wiggins steered into the crash :p

My question at this point is, since the stage to La Planche des Belles Filles on Saturday is also considered a medium mountain stage, does the 3km rule apply there too?? If it does, what is to stop Wiggins and Sky making a total farce of this race by, say 2.8km from the finish, someone crashing (say Rogers) and causing Wiggins to stop, just as he is being distanced by the race leaders. He could then roll in casually (again), this time minutes (not 1 minute) behind the stage winners, and I suppose he would once again get the same time as the stage winners.... :(

Check out the 2008 stage to Super Besse won by Ricco, where Schumacher crashed and lost the jersey in the last km.

Just watched the overhead replay about 4 times. Wiggins didn't steer into the crash - his back wheel slides out to the left - probably locked up, then he bumps into his team mate on the right, and has to unclip to keep control, at which point someone whacks him from the back. Anyone who has ever ridden a bike in a race knows that you don't think when someone crashes 5 metres in front of you at 30kmh, you react.

Right... and what is your guide dogs name??
