My question at this point is, since the stage to La Planche des Belles Filles on Saturday is also considered a medium mountain stage, does the 3km rule apply there too?? If it does, what is to stop Wiggins and Sky making a total farce of this race by, say 2.8km from the finish, someone crashing (say Rogers) and causing Wiggins to stop, just as he is being distanced by the race leaders. He could then roll in casually (again), this time minutes (not 1 minute) behind the stage winners, and I suppose he would once again get the same time as the stage winners....![]()
