So I read that according to Sylvester Szmyd, the first part of his victory salute was a supposed to be a panda:

and the second part a chicken:

Really? Gilbert looked quite happy and jovial today before the start. Although he said it was all for evans today, don't know how true is that though.
Yes, he smilingly said he had a headache.

Looks can be misleading ;)

Panda? You sure? More like bow down to the tourminator. Spartacus and "Relly great" got the message.

Looks like a variation of the "hoofd, schouders, knie en teen" "knie en teen"

It's so weird that people still say Gilbert is playing games, while all he's done is disappoint so far this year.

That reminds me of when I had to dance the Hucklebuck in elementary school. I sucked so badly that I had to stand in the middle and pretend to be doing the same as the others.

Maybe Sagan experienced something similar.

To be fair it does look a little bit like a bear standing on his back legs with his paws in the air.

Tell me, how would you impersonate a Panda? ;)

Translation from his webpage:

Q:
On Sunday, after defeating Cancellara you first put your hands on your hips, then you put fingers to shoulders. Some media seemed to misunderstand the gesture...

Sagan:
,, I repeat, it did not mean anything. After the national championship in Lednice Rovne I was sitting with friends from Žilina and they were asking if I know what gesture I will do when I will win a stage at the Tour de France. I said I have not thought about it yet. So they immediately suggested that gesture with hands on shoulders. At the finish I remembered it, so I realized their wish"

Since they are pretty clumsy animals, I'd probably crash.

This is ridiculous

2 weeks ago everyone here was having wet dreams about Sagan.

Now everyone is all like "that cocky ****er."

In fairness, he has a lot to be cocky about.

Lol, so apparently Cavendish will try to go for the win today. That's one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard. What's next, Kenny Van Hummel going for the KOM jersey?

Blimey I didn't know Sean had a stroke, he's not 50 yet is he?

What brought that on? Drink, drugs, or worry?

52 I think depending what month his birthday is. He is still racing time trails in England when he can and still doing good times .

According to RAI crew who surveyed the last 30km yesterday the finish wouldn't result in much selection - so Cav could still be there.
