According to RAI crew who surveyed the last 30km yesterday the finish wouldn't result in much selection - so Cav could still be there.
Whether he is there or not is irrelevant. There's still 800 meters at 8% in the final. There's no way he can survive that. Not even with Riccó-like levels of CERA in his body.

third tier van Hummel making crazy faces going full gas. Cavendish goes past him two fingers in his nose and looks van Hummel in the eyes. =)

I don't really know what upset Cavendish though. It seems he is just eternally grumpy.

Harmon and Cav's mocking wasn't nice.

Cav wasn't mocking anyone, he was yelling at the idiots for swerving dangerously in front of him, nearly swiping his front wheel.

Cav wasn't mocking anyone, Van Hummel almost took out his front wheel and Cav was having a go at him for it

Cav killing all those doubters despite the box.

Kenny wasting his time in a competition he can't win.
2 point swing to Cav over Sagan

Dumb comment..that is why you are writing on the internet and not racing lol. I guess they should all just give it to Cav? Get real...

Someone needs to calm down.

Kenny Van Hummel has no hope whatsoever for the green jersey, even with no Cav and no Sagan.

He should save his energy and try to get a top 5 in a sprint, rather than a prestigious 6th place in a sprint with 0 value for him.

From your later bitter comments I now realise you thought I was commenting on a Cav vs Kenny sprint. Obviously Cav is much much better, but it was clear to anyone who was not looking for an argument that my comment referred to the points competition, not that specific sprint.

Yeah, he should save his energy for the finish today

This I will agree with...however...a rider like van Hummel needs to show his face whenever he can. And I do believe he is of a caliber to get a couple top 5 placings this tour. Anyway...I like Kenny and will support even intermediate sprints lol
