You're right, I'd prefer it if all riders kept their mouth's shut and offered no input/anecdotes on the day's racing. In fact I don't even want CN to do a report, just a list of the top 5 and no explanation about how it happened.

Get real. Whatever a certain rider does will always be wrong in the eyes of some.

The problem is Cav always blames other riders, name included. It's fine he's angry, but this is never the smart thing to do.

Personally I thought the post was more to do with the arsy way that Cav deals with setbacks immediately after theve happened compared to the gracious way he talks about it once hes calmed down.

Langeveld to the hospital after the race. Hope it's nothing serious. Would be so bummed out if he misses any important spring classics

LOL.
There was I making a daft joke about Rabos coming off on a descent and they manage to do it on a solitary corner.
The Bus is back!
(hope they're all ok)

They took descending lessons from an MTB-er at training camp (I'm not kidding here) but apparently he forgot to tell them how to take a corner on the flat

Indeed, and a crash or an incident like this is rarely the fault of one rider alone.

but where were his teamates/leadout if it was only 1200m from the finish why didn't someone box out Kristoff from doing that? if they want to try to get rough with Cav, he should have enforcers protecting him, fail Sky

Anyone know greenedge's excuse today?

I hope they show a bit more class with their comments than at the Tour Med.

If not then expect one of; too hot, too cold, too windy, luck, let Greipel win, etc, etc

Is the profile for stage 2 on the official site wrong? It looks suspiciously like the stage 1 profile.

Always the gentleman... can't he just close off all communications for one hour after the race?

Anyway it's good to see TGAK get a mention on Cav's twitter.

Meh. He says "**** happens". So he's definately not blaming anyone.

Cav frequently blames himself too. He just tends to be detailed and analytical.

Though he could sometimes do with waiting until seeing a video replay first.

You know, if I was to say that I was ran off the road by someone, I'd definitely be implying that the person is to blame.

Anyway, Kristoff being Gali's lead-out man I can see one of two things, either he (Kristoff) went too wide around the corner, or Cav was looking for a gap that wasn't there. Probably about a 50/50 for both these scenarios. Anyway, can't wait for the highlights

"Yep, not the best of days today. Ran off the road by Alexander Kristoff with 1200m to go. **** happens. Well done to @AndreGreipel"

This would just be a description of what happens, this however turns it more into an accusation and attempt at removing himself from blame.

"Sh_t happens" is just Cav being Cav and pretending that it doesn't really matter despite the fact he mentioned it.

Was editing Greipel's wiki page and stumbled upon this little gem:

"In 2010 he won his second Giro d'Italia stage and won the Tour Down Under for the second time. It was here that he earned the nickname of 'Grapefruit'; whom many believe came about due to the abnormally large and round shape of his head."

Seriously? Is this a troll attempt? I never heard of that nickname. I admit, I had to smile :D

Denis must have read the bestseller "tips and tricks in sprinting" by JJ Rojas with foreword by Marco Marcato.

:D

You know, he's being trained by Erik "losing a 300km race by celebrating too early" Zabel, right? :D

BTW, official results up on http://www.letour.fr Split at the finish, most riders finishing 3 seconds back
