I don't like this at all. It's true that Movistar is known for pulling exactly this sort of move, but Sky has been critical of them for it and looks completely hypocritical now.

They were already pulling. They hadn't been pulling for a while, but statistically the crash is more likely to happen at the moment of acceleration, rather than after a while. They should carry on

I always remember the wind around La Rioja and Aragon is a hell, so the next 2-3 stages there is a high risk

There are some groups returning.

But we have to wait very long till we get a decent overview I'm afraid.

The Vuelta site just shows the old situation with the small echelon

Yes, but you can't ignore that Rodriguez is taking advantage from this aswell, yet I've only seen 1 person mention Katusha taking advantage of this and about a 100 people hating Sky for this on this thread alone.

Sky are the main movers, the main people doing the work, the initial people doing the work. Therefore, in so far as it deserves hate at all, they are going to catch it.

Im not really sure what to think... its a **** move, but i guess they are going to use every chance they get.

But it's just valverde, he's not going to win this vuelta. If it were Contador then it's more justified.

Now they're going to get a lot of hate and the only result they achieve is putting valverde on time who will never win this vuelta.

Pretty dumb.

Sad about the crash :( I want lots of gaps, but without anyone crashing.
Can't really blame sky for the attack (or keep on attacking), but only for being hypocrites.
Crashes are sh!t, but sh!t happens, and for me it is a good thing that they keep racing :)

There's way too much whining around what is or what is not a situation to attack in relation to sportsmanship. Besides attacks on the race (like the nails in the TdF), let them race if they want to race....

With this reasoning we should put them all in cotton and let them out if there are no risks whatsoever...perhaps a notice handed out to other teams should be introduced where they ask permission to race. Cycling has enough issues as is, at least let them race if they want to do so....

Going to close the Gap and Sky will become the most targeted team in the race. Stupid tactical move by them.

Capecchi + Liquigas in group Valverde

So basically Liqui+Movistar vs first echelon.
I think Mollema is also there.
Also think I spotted Gesink in the first echelon now

Sky= A disgrace for British sportsmanship

So by this reasoning:
Contador = A disgrace for Spanish sportsmanship

Never seems to be a consensus on what to do when there's a crash, race or don't race?

Sorry, I think both Gesink and Mollema in the first echelon. The Rabo's in the other group seem to be Clement, Garate and some other helpers

Question:

Do the (ex)Fanboys of Armstrong also hate Sky? Just a little reminder, Armstrong & Co. rode away from Zülle in 1999...
