42 seconds.

Apparently Sky's might is not the same as in the Tour, now confirmed. Even with a minute'10 bonus with the fall they can't keep the gap

So by this reasoning:
Contador = A disgrace for Spanish sportsmanship

Never seems to be a consensus on what to do when there's a crash, race or don't race?

IMO it would be really shady if Sky saw the crash and then pushed the pace, but as they started to push the pace before the crash it's a lot more justifiable.

Leaky is also helping at this point and the gap is shrinking, so Valv may make it back before they hit the final climb.

Kelly points out that Moviestar attacked the peloton, when there was a crash during the Tour.;)

Point is, if the crash had happened 30 seconds later, when the attck was obvious, there would be no debate.

In anycase, it will all come back together.

Why all the fuss? Valverde was happy to cede 10 minutes to the breakaway, a while back.:D

0% chance of this not coming back together. Sky will achieve nothing but gain a load of enemies in the peloton.

Sky killing themselves for.....NOTHING......idiots

Making the race difficult for other teams' domestiques. THe question is how much work Froome is doing.

Oh look at this, about 4 Katushas now setting the pace, oh wait, it's about 3 Sky's too, lets give all the hate to Sky.

A genius move would be for AC to tell his guys in Valverdes group to work for Valverde. ;)

They were already pulling. They hadn't been pulling for a while, but statistically the crash is more likely to happen at the moment of acceleration, rather than after a while. They should carry on

I don't buy it, but stuff happens.

What is with this ridiculous whining from you? This has been explained to you have a dozen times. Sky are the main movers, therefore Sky get the most attention for it. Katusha are the junior partners, so they get less. And the other teams aren't working.

Rabobank with Breschel, Gesink and Mollema in the first group.

The helpers have been held up. Stroke of luck

Bertie can not be sure of Valverdes status later in the race...he could be a competitor...so better stay neutral.

Anyone have an idea when was the last time the Vuelta had a stage finish at this ski station?

1993. Tony Rominger won the stage and took over the leader's position from his countryman Alex Zülle. Rominger held the yellow jersey until Madrid.

Which means my memory abandoned me yesterday and Kelly's win in 1988 was not the only time a road stage ended at Valdezcaray.
