Gesink getting dropped way too early and than limiting the time loss by riding his own pace reminds me of TDF 2010 when he got 6th :)

Mollema on the other hand should be much better in these types of climbs when he is in good shape, Gesink I'l forgive for coming back a bit with his own pace in the end, while this is a very bad type of climb for Gesink.

Also Senor Steak disappoints me :(

i think in 3rd week or so he (Froome) will crack due to TdF hard work for wiggo. AC still got big advantage over Rodriguez in TT and long climbs imho.

How many Ks did Froome pull for Wiggo exactly in the TDF, 15 at most, he'll be fine, unlike Bertie who'll end up making a fool of himself like on the 2011 TDF.

easy on the clinic related jokes.

one poster has already been warned and all posts quoting him were also deleted simply to clean the thread of clinic stuff.

people are stupid
Someone of them should tell me what's the difference between stages like this and flat bunch sprints.

It's 3km instead of 1km of racing and you see more differences between riders that's about it.

It's wrong.

Uran is the new Froome.

Froome is the new Wiggins.

Henao is the new Rodgers.

And Richie Porte still gets to be Richie Porte.

ahahahah! :D

Katusha did seem very confident Rodriguez would put time into Contador today. These short "wall" finishes have never really been AC's thing. Valverde did pretty well I thought - seems to have recovered well from that crash

That probably was the reason why Saxobank went so hard. A scenario you usually dont see. They tried to protect him as long as possible. Sadly they were finished at the worst possible moment and left AC uncovered on the foot of the climb.

Oh shut up.

Fine, carry on with your insufferable whining. You're only making yourself look like a child......who knows maybe you are 13 or something.

When you act like this it seems like you are not really smart. You wrote that it's the end, you don't believe him, etc. Why are you doing this? Grow up, please.

Perhaps I am not really smart. Or not.

Perhaps I am just ****in ****ed off because I've been waiting for this race for 6 months and yes, if Alberto is not gonna win I will be angry and sad and disappointed.

I didn't see it. I switched off the TV :D
You're so emotionally involved in what's ultimately a silly bike race it's hilarious. :D

If you had watched it you'd clearly seen something was wrong. Most likely cramps (I think I'll believe Contador for once). It doesn't necessarily mean he's not good or that he won't improve.

Well actually it was not extremely boring, at least something happened. But in my course guide I marked this as one of the best stages on paper, and I think it will be. More of this to come, but worse. It is unimaginative, most of all.

I wonder what it takes for you guys complaining "boring" to find it interesting. No, take that back, I don't really wonder. I think y'all are just complaining too much. Sigh, well, you are entitled to your own opinion.

Personally, I think Rodriquez was the biggest winner today. I wouldn't be too surprised if he manages to continue to make things interesting over the next 2 weeks. Also interesting to see how Froome is handling the AC threat.

It is a long way from being over for AC - the tenors are still in the middle of the 2nd act! No fat lady in sight! But, I wasn't one of the folks who thought AC was gonna dominate here. His attacks the other day took me by surprise - but they did give us a promise for more action!

He's back from 6 months off. He's not in top shape and he's facing some stiff competition. Nothing to panic about.

Cramps happen for any number of reasons. Saturday will be the big test so far.

Wrong Richie Porte is leading Giro next year, he think he is in class with Froom, why work so hard for him in the vuelta?

They did all they could. Perhaps a bit early, but you didn't really expect Saxo to be setting the pace on the last climb, did you?

Contador was left in a good position to start the climb and was in the last 4 when the action really kicked off. His legs quitting in the last 500 is not the team's fault.

I wouldn't count Berto out so soon, especially on one stage. I personally believe he is playing possum, and saving himself for an all out assault on Andorra. Or I could be totally full of ****, and he is done.

Maybe you should go outside. Make some friends maybe. You know, get a life and all that.

True, but the climb is where we would have expected AC to shine. Meh, whatever, it was only a few seconds difference. The fat lady is not on stage yet.
