Gilbert says a lot, like that eventually he was going to be in shape this year but I haven't seen much of him. He's not even in '10 shape.

In 2011 shape I would already write his name down without a doubt.

I know he was involved in the crash in the TTT, but I've not heard any reports of how he's feeling since then. Though 119th in stage 3 and 56th the next day suggest he's not 100%.

More precisely, Rodriguez is the strongest in such an exercise certainly, but his edge is not so overwhelming as many think. All the more so he counters a hungry Contador and Froome who also sprint very well as we know.

If Alberto and Froome get to the finish line together Froome will win btw. I'd rate Purito and Valverde equally, maybe Valverde is better in flatter sprints and Purito in the steepest ****, then after them Froome and then Alberto.

what are the odds, it actually isn't a bad bet as it is one of the stages that suit him forsure. Not the top dog for the stage, but him winning is not ridiculous.

Purito is no Cavendish but he's Greipel and Cavendish kind of sucks this year, so yes, Purito is the favourite.

BTW, I'm with T-l-R, I don't think Mollema is a bad bet, I neither think that he will win, but who knows, if he could stay somehow with the favorites, then he has got a good chance in a sprint.
