I don't think Alberto can win, he won't drop the others big time if at all and since apparently the last km is not that steep (??) lots of people can come back and just about everyone is a better sprinter than Alberto.

You're wrong, Contador can sprint but it's gotta be on something that's over 15 % :D

So? He won't be there when Alberto, Purito and Valverde go.
He's the one saying he's in great shape. I bet he at least will be in Jaca with the favorites. Where is Pistolero when you need him? :D

Gilbert says a lot, like that eventually he was going to be in shape this year but I haven't seen much of him. He's not even in '10 shape.

In 2011 shape I would already write his name down without a doubt.

Any chance of Tiralongo being in the mix today?

I know he was involved in the crash in the TTT, but I've not heard any reports of how he's feeling since then. Though 119th in stage 3 and 56th the next day suggest he's not 100%.

I don't really think so

“I am gritting my teeth and hanging in there, I trained hard in July so that I would be ready for this race, but the crash has knocked my plans off course. I have now been riding for four days with painkillers and I am treating it with ice, but it is painful and hard work. I can’t wait for the rest day so that I can recover fully and start again from there in search of a win.”

Froome
Purito +'5
Alex, Mollema +'12

I don't think that if Purito drops Froome can hang on.

But interesting would be who would get the jersey ;)

Are you sick? I mean ... you know...

What? Objectivity is above all. I said what I think on the base of 2 medium mountains stages we saw. Most people point out Purito as though he's like Cavendish in sprint. it seems incorrect, to me. More precisely, Rodriguez is the strongest in such an exercise certainly, but his edge is not so overwhelming as many think. All the more so he counters a hungry Contador and Froome who also sprint very well as we know.

If Alberto and Froome get to the finish line together Froome will win btw. I'd rate Purito and Valverde equally, maybe Valverde is better in flatter sprints and Purito in the steepest ****, then after them Froome and then Alberto.

I bet 5€ on Mollema

good bet?

what are the odds, it actually isn't a bad bet as it is one of the stages that suit him forsure. Not the top dog for the stage, but him winning is not ridiculous.

Purito is no Cavendish but he's Greipel and Cavendish kind of sucks this year, so yes, Purito is the favourite.

I was just kidding, you should know that.

BTW, I'm with T-l-R, I don't think Mollema is a bad bet, I neither think that he will win, but who knows, if he could stay somehow with the favorites, then he has got a good chance in a sprint.
