I haven't look at the profiles until today, but I've heard the buzz. Insane the amount uphill finishes in the mountains. Maybe just what the Veulta needed. I always hope for for a competitive race, but it could be enough time is taken on the first few mountain stages by Berto that he can sit wheel until he seals it on a third.

Perhaps he will hunt every stage he can in order to gain points.

The poster makes me sad.

I had a dream recently.

It was the Cauberg.

Thousands of fans going wild, watching the final scenes of the world championships play out.

And as the final selection prepares for the ascent, Alberto Contador Velasco jumps out.

He flies up the hill and glides down the descent.

A solo victory, 5 seconds in ahead of the pack.

It would be the biggest moment in cycling history.

The forums would explode.

The haters, oh that would be the sweetest bit.

Its dreams like this that help us get through the sentence.

Dreams indeed. I actually wonder if anyone could really break away on the Cauberg. Even Gilbert only got 5 seconds on Freire in the Amstel.

Kessler won a stage of the Tour over the Cauberg final in exactly the way described by Hitch.`

Awesome dream. :) I wish I had dreams like that. Non-stop. That would make the time pass so much quicker...

But hey, we're already 1/6 through.

That means that we still have to pass 5 times this period of time.

Oh god. Six months is loooong... And just think of all the things he won't be able to achieve anymore.

Also, the WC ends with a descent? How come I didn't know that? Looks like Alberto won't have a chance after all.

Ah well, next year I guess...

That's some dream allright, a descent of the Cauberg appearing out of nothing, that would be quite something.

Not sure exactly what the course is, but i thought it was Cauberg like 2k before the finish.

Which one is the Cauberg on the profile?

This is the circuit:

The climb with number 2 is the Cauberg, it's pretty much flat 1.5 km to the finish from the top.

Flat is even worse. Kills the race.

Not really, it creates an interesting dynamic where guys like Gilbert can try to jump away on the Cauberg, and a strong sprinter can hope to use his team to bring him back. More possibilities that a simple Cauberg-sprint.

The clip will10 showed is awessome.

Could be great, especially if the race is real real hard from the start. Could have small groups and very tired riders.

No, it makes the race. This is how a worlds course has to be: it could be a sprint, or the attacker could just hang on.
